This. Maybe one day republicans will learn. But just as they dog whistle to their base, other groups of people hear the whistle, too. Drop the bigotry and the republicans have a better chance of winning that vote, if they want it.

Black people flocked to polls for Ben Carson, Herman Caine, and Alan Keyes? Unlike the white voters who are able to actually look at issues and vote based on those, black folks vote based on color? Sure it happens sometimes, just like there are whites who will vote against someone because of their skin color, but it isn't the main reason why any race votes.
I remember when Al Sharpton soared to victory in the 2004 South Carolina primary with historic black-voter turnout. Then, white liberals, filled with shame and guilt for their ancestors' actions, jumped on the bandwagon and pushed the undeserving race-baiter into the White House. For the next two terms Prezident Sharpton would heavily tax white people and use the money to buy every black person a Red Lobster restaurant.
