As you probably know, Thibbs went around to each during last off-season to see the attitude of each team. What stood out to him the most were Spurs and GoldenState.
Every little thing mattered to them and everyone on the Warriors were hungry even after coming off the chip.

Just hearing his insight, I don't think Rockets are anywhere near contention starting from the coaching level down to the players personal preparation.

I didn't need Thibs insight to know that the Rockets aren't close to being a contender right now.

Still would love to have him as a coach.

I'd quit watching to be honest. Nothing would be more depressing than going from this let down season to a dead end coach who's totally out of tune with what is becoming successful in the league. 90's style basketball is not coming back, I don't want to be facing an unwinnable battle against the direction of all the teams, all the star players' preferences, all the refs, all the owners, the commissioner.

He will never coach Here. Tom wants the run the front office too and that would be stupid.

Thibs would be a fantastic Harden-only coach. Yell him into shape and defense.

    Do you watch the NBA?

Are you aware that the defensive systems used by virtually the entire NBA and Warriors were developed by Thibs?

So your theory of "dead end coach" is absurd.

Considering our defense and Thibs clearly being the best defensive coach on the market it would be insane not to consider Thibs. No he can't have the front office but he should have an input on which players he think would defensively anchor this team the best. Hell Mchale got Brewer so we know Morey listens to what the coach wants from time to time.

After listening to that podcast, I have no idea if he wants to coach the Rockets, but it definitely sounds like he wants to coach the Warriors.

With a roster and names we have on payroll, hearing how hard the Spurs and Golden State practice should make us want a guy like Thibs as coach. JB should be pushing these at every practice. It is just so depressing hearing this podcast. Why fire McHale if they are not going to make any changes to our practice regime, work ethic, and hunger? Someone light a fire under these boys!

Draymond Green almost killed one of his teammate when his "mentor" was crying about fouls in PRACTICE.

Green then disowned his mentor because he didn't practice hard enough

Can you imagine what he would do to Harden if Harden was his teammate???
He would knock Harden the hell out!!!

    "One story illustrates Green perfectly.

The Warriors have a tradition of pairing rookies with a veteran. Jeremy Tyler, also a first-round hopeful who fell to the second round the year before, wound up as Green’s vet.

With his lifestyle, you would’ve never guessed Tyler was on a cheap salary and barely clinging to a roster spot. He introduced Green and the other youngsters to the lavishness of being an NBA player.

Then came summer league. Not even a month removed from the draft, Green and Harrison Barnes and Festus Ezeli highlighted some all-out practices in Las Vegas. In the midst of a heated session, Tyler called what Green thought was a weak foul.

    Green went off.

He told Tyler it wasn’t a foul. He told Tyler he was soft. He told Tyler he’d never get respect in this league. And then he denounced him.

“He dropped him as his vet,” Barnes said, still smiling at the years-old incident. “He said Jeremy couldn’t be his vet anymore.”

That spirit has infiltrated the Warriors. Green pushes and pushes, prodding his teammates to another level. The result is a team that is fine being pushed and accustomed to pushing back. And yes, a team that is sometimes irritated.

Green never stops talking. He never tones it down. It’s produce or be his target. And when anyone needs to be pushed, he’s ready.

Monday against Oklahoma City, Green jumped on Speights for poor help defense. Then he spent the entire time during Russell Westbrook’s free throws motivating Speights. Even though Speights had subbed out and was on the bench, Green was still jawing, trying to get Speights to get his head in the game.

“He has such a spirit about how he approaches every single game,” Curry said. “It’s contagious. He’s vocal. He’s demonstrative. … He just has this contagious attitude that we all love. Even in practice he brings that same mentality. He’ll be yelling at us to get a hand up and air ball a 3 … then the next play he’ll knock one down in your face and talk the exact same way.”"

Thibs is a vastly superior coach to Adelman.
