Thanks breh, will do. Started The World God Only Knows today, does he ever find a permament girl or is each episode a different girl? Also started Gosick today, really good thus far.
Psycho pass has been on my to-watch list for a while now. I am going to watch the first episode tonight. I've heard that they went with a different writer/director for season 2 and it really sucked.
I'm an anime noob. Just started to really watch it recently. So far I've watched (and enjoyed): Trigun Samurai Champloo Cowboy Bebop I just started High School for the Dead. Not sure how I feel about it. I'm trying to stick to short series for the moment. With that in mind, any suggestions?
Steins Gate, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Psycho Pass, From the New World. All have dubs if you prefer them. Those are the 4 animes where when I finished, I was genuinely depressed that that the ride was over. Steins Gate is my favorite of the list and has an amazing dub also. It starts of slow. You have to stick with it but you will be greatly rewarded. FMA Brotherhood is the longest but if you have the time, it's one hell of an emotional ride with amazing characters. From the New World is different and might be the one with the most 'acquired taste'. Psycho Pass is a great sci-fi crime drama that is well written and has great animation.
You really have to get 2-3 episodes in, don't give up before that I did my first time trying it out. Brief overview, the show takes place in a world where everybody is judged on a "crime coefficient" that is calculated through various means by the sybil system. When someone's crime coefficient starts to go up the probability of them committing a crime is high and gives the police (inspectors & the enforcers) the ability to detain them if its upto a level the system deems correctable and goes into lethal mode to kill them if the crime coefficient is too high. Season 2 was not as good as season 1 overall, but the ending was absolutely brilliant. You begin to learn more about the Sybil system and the dark truth behind it. Great great scifi.
It's a very Philip K. Dick-type of setting. In fact there is a scene where they talk about it. It's the most like the setting in Minority Report. Psycho-Pass is one of the few anime shows that could be a good live action show, in fact probably alot better than that crap Minority Report show we got this year. I'm starting to feel like Erased could also be a great live action show as well. Find the right child actors and people would be really invested in the story.
I really enjoyed but I thought the ending was a bit of a letdown. Definitely one of the more interesting concepts.
Still haven't seen Trigun but Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop are awesome. Check out Akami Ga Kill. Not very hard to follow with a good story and action.
Thanks for the suggestions. I started Psycho Pass yesterday and am really enjoying it. I'll probably watch One-Punch Man after that since there are only 12 episodes.
I'm currently rewatching One Punch Man. It's so easy to watch because there are no filler episodes. They just get to the point. Each episode is like an arc unto itself. And I guess since its just a 12 episode season they can put more money into the animation of each episode. Its very high quality like a good production anime movie
Great suggestions. From the New world messed me up a little because it has some twisted bits of truth hidden in its story. Psycho pass reminds me of ghost in the shell sac, but with a thriller theme instead of a political drama. If you like a thriller/serial killer theme a show to watch is Monster. For sci fi action, Parasyte hasn't been mentioned yet but is complete. Hellsing ultimate is also complete, which is nice to know before you get hooked in.
Parasyte has been discussed here, I think the reason I saw it was because someone here recommended it. One punch man was good, watching Gate atm and it's ok. Oh and if people missed out another top notch recommendation that's probably buried pages deep, Aldnoah Zero.
