Clippers should be barred from the league for changing Blake's game and having him shoot the midrange jump shot. Over 45% of his shot attempts are the worst shots a player can take. And he hits them at an abysmal 39.9%. While his finishing shots have gone from over 40% of his shot attempts which he hit at a finishing rate of over 76% down to today where he takes less than 30% of his shot attempts at the rim while still hovering around 74% from there. Just a totally watering down of Griffin the ultra efficient finishing machine inside. And replacing that player with this guy that throws up that abysmal 19 footer with no success. But it's now his most frequently taken shot. That is what you call Clipper dumb.
3 team deal possibly? Howard, Jones to Hawks Horford, Ariza, Motiejunas to Clippers Griffin, Splitter, Patterson to Rockets That's about the best I could come up with, Hawks get a real center in Howard + Jones for depth, Clippers get a win now PF in Horford who would fit well with Jordan, Motie to add depth to the front court bench and Ariza to finally fill their starting SF position. Rockets get Griffin of course, and Splitter to fill the center position. Beverley / Lawson / Terry Harden / Thornton / Patterson Brewer / KJ / Dekker Griffin / Harrell Capela / Splitter Probably not the greatest offer for Griffin to be made, but is it fair enough?
Jordan takes up a lot of that paint space for Blake to operate, but you do have a point. He shouldn't be taking that many mid range. Blake looked like a much improved passer last season, but I haven't seen it so much this year. There's probably zero chance of us landing Blake, Doc is a pretty bad GM but he won't trade a superstar in conference unless we are trading Harden for Blake. So zero chance.
Down year for Bellineli, especially in 3 pt shooting and overall eFG. Definitely a Morey type of move, but does he really bring that much more than Thornton in terms of production/salary? Probably marginally. Personally, I'd prefer Lou Williams. Not a knock down shooter, but a legit 6th man type of player who has run a bench on playoff bound teams with a good contract as well. I just don't see Lawson turning it around. Lakers have extra incentive to stay bad this year and next (barring a major free agency signing) with the Sixers owning a top 3 protected pick for this season and next.
Anybody like the idea of bringing in Avery Bradley? I just think he is the perfect guard to play next to Harden. I also think Boston is a potential spot for Dwight... They have stock piled assets and are desperate to add a superstar talent. I'm not sure how much they would give up for him but a trade based around Bradley and Crowder is appealing. Maybe Boston wouldn't want to give up crowder so we could also ask for something like a pick and Olynk. Just ideas
Who say's no- http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jxjavdp -The Pelicans - Get younger, more athletic, and I think Tristan Thompson is a nice fit next to Anthony Davis moving fwd. Jones could be a nice big off the bench they can get back in free agency fairly cheap. Ryan Anderson is likely leaving in FA, and Asik just hasn't been as good for them as he ever was in Houston. -Let's face it, Dwight is an upgrade from what Asik did, but do the Rockets really utilize his upgraded skill that much in their offense? Getting Asik back in this deal makes sense to me. Then there is Kevin love. A Love/Capela front line gets me excited offensively, and you have the ability to still bring back D-Mo in free agency who could still overtake Capela next year if he improves. -The Cavs.... well I think Dwight Howard might be better bang for their buck than Tristan Thompson although older. He's pretty much a better version of Thompson at this stage, and in getting Anderson in the deal they've got the perfect stretch 4 around Lebron & Kyrie, and two complementary players that don't need the ball like Love does to fully be utilized. Another interesting wrinkle here- If Dwight opts out for Cleveland, and Anderson is renounced, the Cavs could open up over TWENTY million in cap space this Summer to bring in a star free agent. If Dwight & Anderson work out, they obviously have the ability to bring them back... likely at lower costs than Thompson/Love were going to cost them in total especially if Dwight is willing to take slightly less. *I think it's a great trade for all, but the one thing might be Houston and Dwight... and Lebron's relationship with Dwight (if he doesn't like Dwight). The Rockets really owe it to Dwight to allow him to stay if he loves Houston. The guy picked Houston when he had other options, and loves the city like few stars would. What do you guys think?
NO can net much more then TT and TJ for anderson and asik, no way they accept...pus i wouldnt like this trade for houston , it eems you are over rating asik quite a bit and i wouldnt want him to be our starting center, and thats what he would be cuz capela is still not big enough to bang inside Cleveland win this trade by a landslide and i would think a cavs fan posted this if it werent in our forum
New orleans would say no. Tt and asik=> trading one bad contract for another. Asik is older but he has one year less,so around the same value negative contract. But then it is jones for anderson. Houston steals value and if no trades anderson they can do better than jones. And finally TT and Davis would be a very weird fit.
We have to trade Dwight. We just have to. He can't play every night, and when he does play, he is crazy inconsistent. He's not as athletic as he was when he first got here, and it will hurt us.
Bev and Ariza are great next to Harden. We need an answer at PF. I like going small around Dwight, but NOT with Brewer. He can't shoot, so there is no point. We get killed on defense and on the boards but get benefit of improved offensive spacing. From my perspective these are our core guys and should not be moved 1) Harden 2) Dwight 3) Ariza 4) Bev 5) Josh Everyone else is expendable. EVERYONE. Yes, that includes Capela (you have to trade something to get something). Whatever combination of the following - Dekker, Harrel, Dmo, TJ, Thornton, Lawson, Capela, Terry, Brewer, KJ - gets you a LEGIT starting caliber front court player. DO IT. We just need a guy who can do 2 of the following 3 things for each side of the floor: OFFENSE 1) Consistently shoot 35%+ from deep to open up driving lanes for Harden 2) Make the "Josh Smith" pass as the roll man in a pick n roll, skipping the ball to the weak side shooter after catching the pocket pass 3) Take advantage of a mismatch, either posting up smaller guy or taking a big guy off the dribble DEFENSE 1) Rebound the heck outta the ball 2) Play defense in space for a few dribbles when switched onto a wing 3) Make the proper rotations The ONLY gettable guys that I think fit 2/3 for each side of the floor are Taj Gibson or Danillo Gallinari. Gibson I think we could snag for relatively little. Gallinari, I don't really know what we have that Denver would want.
All I care to keep is Harden, Capela and Harrell. I'm ready for this team to rebuild. Howard, Ariza, Smith, Terry are too old. Jones, KJ and Lawson aren't good enough. Dmo and Dekker both had back surgery and aren't healthy. Scrap it and go young, rebuild around Harden.
Smith is the only older guy I'd like to bring back (if the price was right). He's great for us in that bench role
