Nowadays NBA is not that 90s NBA anymore.

I won't be that silly to compare Harden to Hakeem.

But from what we seen, JB is an awful coach without any doubt.

....we lost by 8 points. Yo. I prefer sanity and logic over reactions.

So..... how the hell are the Rockets winning enough?

McHale has the best coaching % of any Rockets coach! JBB is 3rd with mostly the same players as McHale. Why can't you do better than the bolded? Is that your best analysis?

Exactly... Complex issues require complex analysis....

Remember, you and your ilk are saying he's terrible and needs to be fired after like 36 games.

Back to the ole winning in spite of McHale and JBB bit? It's a complex world out there yo.

I really thought we had a plan when we fired Mchale. The plan should not have been to just waste away the season with a assistant coach. In retrospect, Should we have to just let Mchale finish the season until we found our guy? When he was fired I really thought we were making changes in attempt to save our season. We just cut the head of the snake but allowed his guys to continue running the *****!ng team! I would bet JB speaks to his mentor at least once a day.

Sucks having such a good roster to only be beaten by its own stupid ass coach who sucks of Brewer before every game

I think there are several possible explanations:

    1) Morey and Les thought McHale had lost the team and that simply canning him would light a fire under their asses and spark a turnaround. After all, the roster was virtually the same as the one that reached the WCF.

    2) Morey and Les wanted to replace McHale with another veteran coach, but found out after firing him that no one wanted the job at that particular time. Scottie Brooks was rumored to be in the running, but maybe he passed. Perhaps the same happened with Thibs.

    3) Morey and Les honestly believed that JB was a talented head coach-in-waiting like Rudy T was back when Chaney was here. And they felt it was worth rolling the dice on the remaining 71 games of the season(and playoffs) on the guy.

    4) Les is a cheapass. He was willing to eat the 12+ mil he still owed McHale on his extension, but he did not want to take on an entirely new contract with another head coach. And on that same point, Morey is a control freak and did not want a power struggle with a veteran head coach like Thibs were he brought in.

Your guess is as good as mine as to which one it is. Maybe it's a combination. All I know is that with the trade deadline less than a month away, it's decision time for Les and Morey. I don't think anyone in their right mind believes this team is gonna accomplish d-ck in the postseason. Right now, they're on pace to limp in as the 7th seed and get smoked by the Spurs.

I accept that it's too late to replace JB until the offseason. But it's not too late to start reshaping the roster for the future. They have some serious long-term decisions to make regarding players like Dwight, T-Jones, D-Mo, Lawson, Ariza, Bev, and Brewer.

Please remember. ClutchFans are always unhappy with the coaching. It doesn't matter who the coach is, ClutchFans will want them fired. Rudy, JVG, Adelman, McHale, JBB. ClutchFans were unhappy with every single one. Fans.

it sucks that we have to hire a coach halfway through the season but we need to bring someone in soon IF we want a chance at competing this year.

If you can defend JBs rotations like starting Brewer at 4 and playing it half the game, and jones playing the entire 4th quarter while smith was doing better then both of them I'll give you a medal

Matchups. Thunder have big wings and guards. We didn't lose because of Brewer.

Coaches are the easiest to blame and it's real easy to be an armchair watching the TV.

Just because "ClutchFans" are supposedly always unhappy with the coach does not mean that some might be right in assuming that the Houston Rockets have mediocre to bad coaching at the moment. I was a probably a huge Rick Adelman fan and I possibly never blamed him, since he seemed to over achieve with the roster of the team at that time. Now, with the current coaches, it seems to be the opposite at this time. Yeah it isn't completely the coaches fault, granted, but I do think they play a huge part, especially when dealing with great players.
