Have you seen claymore or berserk? Those are probably my two faves. I really enjoy the darker anime. Also FMA is def in my top 10.

Side note has anyone watched baccanno? I need to get it out there for everyone. Its so underrated.

    Excellent taste.

I enjoyed Cod Geas, thought it was great.

There's so many different variations and types of anime out there, not everyone is going to like the same one.

Honestly I'll watch almost any genre, there's just has to be something that will catch my interest within the first episode or else it becomes hard for me to continue.

Romance, comedy, and "underdog" protagonist has to be one of my favorites though. I could name random stuff off the top of my head, but what do you like? Most of what I can think of are recent stuff.

    Nagi no asukara
    Toradora
    Blood Lad
    Pet girl of sakurasou
    My teen romantic comedy SNAFU
    The World God only knows
    Nisekoi
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon
    No game No life
    Kill LA kill
    Gurren lagann

I watched one episode of gurren lagann. It was incredibly corny.

I too prefer darker animes. Haven't watched Claymore but Berserk is the GOAT for me, never saw that ending coming. I really don't like the "remastered" Berserck Arc or whatever.

    Any other suggestions?

Googled a bit about it and it does sound different and interesting.

I loved Code Geass and Gurren Lagann, haha

Still haven't finished Bacanno but been meaning to. Always forget about it.

Also for a suggestion. if you like darker anime, you might like Gantz...its f***ed up.

Breeeh I like that list, watched most of this myself.
Animes I'd add to the recommendations (Junkyard Breh, you should like most of the stuff RR14 and I mention):

Clannad (the most well-known and one of the best)
Bakuman (soooooo addicting, about two guys that want to become mangakas, one of the best animes ever imo)
    Seto no Hanayome (soo funny)
Spice and Wolf (really nice medieval setting and more adult)
    Kimi ni Todoke
    Kanon (2006)
    Tonari no-Kaibutsu-kun
    Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
    Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
    Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
    Seto no Hanayome
Nijiiro Days (new, only 4 episodes out this far)
    Katanagatari
    To Love-Ru
Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu (new, few eps out)
Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm (new)
    True Tears
    Akagami no Shirayukihime
    Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Stuff I haven't watched but that's on my list:
    White Album
    Little Busters
    Welcome to the NHK
    Katanagatari
    Honey and Clover
    Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
    Lovely Complex
    Gosick
    Kokoro Connect
    Gakusen Toshi Asterik
    Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete
    Kaze No Stigma
    Pilot's Love Song
    Yosuga No Sora
    A Town Where You Live
    School Rumble
    Air
    Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
    Baby Steps

    Clannad
    Bakuman
    Toradora
    Nisekoi
    Nagi no Asakura
    Spice and Wolf
    Pet girl of Sakurasou
    Kimi ni Todoke
    Seto no Hanayome

I guess it's all about personal taste, but IMO Steins;Gate is the greatest anime I have ever seen, in fact one of the best shows period. The combo of plot intrigue and humor is unmatched.

    Others I love offhand
    Spice and Wolf
    Kill la Kill
    Elfen Lied
    Gurren Lagaan

It really sucks that they didn't continue the Spice and Wolf anime with a 3rd season, I wanna know how it goes on (I could buy the manga, but don't really do that).

Thank you! Berserk is the GOAT. The remastered is not as good as the original imo.

I was about to start watching Steins and watched the first episode but I got the Vita game of it on sale and don't know whether to watch the anime or play the game first.

SteinsGate is great. It took me a while to get on it but once I did I was hooked, and you're right it has the perfect mix of humor in it. The two best SciFi animes are SG and Psychopass imo, psychopass felt a bit more complete and was darker so it gets a slight edge from me. The idea of a crime coefficient was also absolutely brilliant.

    Keep the list going!

    Suki-tte ii na yo
    Emma: A victorian romance
The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior
    One Week friends
    Love Lab
    Engaged to the Unidentified
    Ef: Tale of Memories/Melodies

    Added to my list:

    Kimi ni Todoke
    Spice and Wolf
    Bakuman

Definitely go for Baby steps first off your haven't watched list Tizzlebreh. Especially if you've been keeping up with Haikyuu and Ace of the diamond. I think baby steps is on par with them and it comes with romance!!
