Well obviously he's gonna have more success when he has a Hall of Fame PG leading his offense. But Jason Kidd didn't exactly have a ton of playoff series wins the rest of his career outside of 2011 with Dallas. And Chris Paul hasn't been as far as Game 7 of the Semifinals all that often either(last season was the only other time after 2008).

All I'm saying is Scott deserves at least some credit for that. I think he's doing a poor job with the Lakers, but that doesn't retroactively make him a lousy coach when he was with the Nets or Hornets.

I'd give you that he deserves some credit for his prior success, but I think it's because he had a very intelligent floor general who could manage things at a granular level. I can't point to how much of that success is truly his except to say that without such a floor general, he's been putrid, and he doesn't really belong as a head coach in the modern NBA.

JB needs to be fired if he keeps playing Jones. I rather go small than play Jones ever again. I rather try to develop Montrez in this wasted season than play Jones. We have Josh as well and as bad as he is shooting at least he brings us some defensive intensity and ****ing moves the ball.

JB sits Smoove the entire 4th quarter. JB doesn't stand up for his team when the refs are cheating them. JB stubbornly plays TJones. JB has been mediocre.

    Let's all say it:

McHale is 10× the coach that Bickerstaff is

Guy is terrible. Amazing he has made it this far. A lot of power in a name.

JB and what's left of the coaching staff will be gone at the end of the year. This is just looking like a wasted season.

tonight was probably JB's saddest showing in his short career thus far. put aside the obvious issue of horrendous rotations. when dwight was tossed on the second of utterly bogus technicals, JB just stood there like a androgenless eunuch. 2min later brewer gets the shhht smacked out of him and again JB mimicked a deer in the headlights. this guy will never get another head coaching job again after this season.

JB is pathetic. Starts Brewer at PF and sits smith the entire 4th who is probably 2nd best rebounder after Capella. What a ****ing joke

At least McHale would stomp his feet and wave his arms around.

Technically, JB made sure Howard didn't get into anymore trouble by making sure Howard kept moving. That complaint seems completely trivial.

His rotations are more of an issue than that but I don't see how you can say he will never coach another NBA team with a .500 record and less than a full season of experience. That's just an overreaction.

Being 9-39 from beyond the arc is why we lost this game. We went completely cold in the 2nd half.

    That's not saying anything.

Morey just needs to get off his high horse and hire a ****ing real coach and keep the **** out of the coaches business. His constant arrogance throughout these years that a coach is not that important is stupid. The lack of preparation of this team is really evident. The players definitely deserve to shoulder some blame, but it starts from the top and a coach has to prepare his team. A coach has to be able to react to lack of energy from his starters and move away from his typical game plan.

JB and McHale coach exactly the same. They are stubborn with their rotations. They are stubborn to deviate from their plan. Sometimes, you just have to try something different ever so often if you aren't getting results from certain rotations or certain players. It doesn't mean that you have to shuffle the line up every game, but it means that sometimes not every player will bring it every night, and you need to be able to put a player in that will give us a spark that specific night.

That's what I love about coaches like Pop. He will see certain people sleep walking and he will make a change quickly. He isn't stubborn about his set line up if something isn't working. He adjusts to the match up.

This year, JB can obviously see when we are getting beat on the boars, but he stubbornly will leave a small ball line up out there. Earlier in the year Brewer was struggling mightily, yet he was getting his regular rotation minutes. He sees Jones constantly not boxing out, being a ball stopper, etc etc and he leaves him out there too long. He lets teams go on huge runs before calling timeouts. Against the Spurs, it appeared like he was sleep walking just going through the motions.

This team might not be the most talented group in the NBA, but it isn't a team that should have lost this many games already. I know our philosophy will have produce some really bad games sometimes, but for the most part they should be able to win. I get that we don't necessarily have a leader that is committed to defense, but we still should be winning.

I really hate this season. The worst season for me ever. I only watched from the mid 90's and forward, but this year has been frustrating. I've watch the Francis/Mobley years, I've watching the mediocre years of having no superstars, put up with the Yao and Tmac injury years, but no team has made me for frustrated than this one. I'm pretty pissed because I spent a lot of money on season tickets this year for nothing.

I hope the leash is not very long on JB. If not, at least try to bring in some competent assistants that can help him. An assistant that can be a major voice. I like Morey, but he really needs to get this **** together. He needs to stop being so damn stubborn with his philosophy and think outside the box a little.

    Ugh. What a week.. :mad::mad::mad:

I'm on the verge of giving up the Rockets altogether until Morey finally hires a real coach. Enough is enough.

Don't forget the 16 free throws we missed. That didn't help much. We lost by 8, but missed 16 free throws. Good grief.

With a roster of Ty/Bev/harden/thorton/Brewer/Terry/smith/Capella/Howard a ****ing monkey could be .500

The problem is JB is is even stupider. Josh didn't play the entire 4th while shooting 50% and adds playmaking to a stale offense.

    JB is a ****ing joke

Brewer shooting that 3 at the end should have gotten JB fired right on the spot

So Rockets gave up on this season already by not hiring a real coach?

JB is one of the boyz, not a head coach

LOL, do you even watch the games?

If you watch you would know that those free throw stats are deceptive because a lot of the missed FT's were from hacking Howard

If Dwight had made the first few, no chance he keeps going back to the line and Rockets don't miss 16 FT's

Stop box score watching. Watch the game to have real perspective
