Dude get over yourself. While I think either she or her writer(s) are guilty of stealing, just because she jokes about being a slut doesn't mean she is one. She's even said before during her standups that she jokes about it, but actually isn't promiscuous at all. It's called an act.

Regardless you're the type of hypocrite that likely would be completely cool if a dude was bragging about banging a billion women, yet when a woman does the same -- it's a problem.

They dated for a couple of years so it makes sense you see similarities.

Her and Jeselnik dated for awhile I believe. I'm not meaning to imply that would effect her delivery, but I'm sure they talked about their material more than once to each other.

I have a hard time believing that this chick is out of any guy's league.

She's not good looking at all and she's not funny.

ipaman... seriously... you should not let someone who you will never meet, who's decisions and failures and successes will never affect your life in any meaningful way get you this upset. Seriously, there are people in this thread that haven't even heard of her until... THIS THREAD. If you really want to, you can EASILY go the rest of your hate-filled days without Amy Schumer even making a cameo in your daily thoughts.

Let it go... comedy is subjective. The stand-up community is more than capable of policing itself (see: Mencia, Carlos) if they deem it a problem. Why are you getting so effing worked up about it?

If she is not writing her own stuff .. she is not a comedian . .. she is a performer
Its like a rapper who don't write his own stuff calling himself a lyricist .. . just no!

I don't think any of those jokes were original in either instance. Those jokes have been told hundreds of times by a ton of different people.

    She sucks and you guzzle.
I have seen what you look like brah....something something glass houses.

Richard Pryor is probably the best comedian I have ever seen live, and he didn't write all his own stuff; especially on his variety show.

Robin Williams has been accused of stealing jokes many times.... Conan O'Brien as well.

ipaman is clearly the kind of guy who has issues with a lot of groups but only picks on those he thinks are less vocal and won't fight back

You know he won't get out of the car and pump gas in the ghetto

No, but he did have writers for his show like they all do. I think he left because of his disagreements with his writers.

Neal Brennan (one of the writers) was even in some episodes, specifically in a skit about Chapelle being a juror. He needed 4-5 of his friends, Neal taking notes, and R Kelly's grandma to verify his identity while the girl he was pissing on showed 2 forms of identification, in order to convict R Kelly. It could have been digital piss.

Men from Texas be on an "Anthony Jeselnik binge" and link to his line of thinking recently.

Cus of like 1 dude? Come on now Kelly, there's a lot more people here calling him an idiot than agreeing.

    As a side note:

I saw Jeselnik and Schumer at the last Oddball tour that passed through here. While I like him, I lost some respect when his HBO special came out later and it was the same set verbatim. Amy's special was pretty close, but at least she had some new jokes.

Honestly, Aziz Ansari is the man right now. I haven't heard that guy repeat a joke once. Not once. Hell I saw Aries Spears live, and he was telling the same jokes he had told 10 years prior. 10 years! You'd think he'd get tired of repeating the same bull****.

Jeselnik is awful. He just tries to shock people rather than be funny. He's Daniel Tosh if Tosh didn't know how to write jokes.

Everybody steals. It's what we do. It's almost implausible not to do it. But you do have to make it different/novel/new. Word for word is a crime. But even the slightest change should be ok. I think the writing industry takes it too seriously. And hollywood/TV seems to not care at all, lol.
