I filed on 12th, and still have not receive a bar. Where my refund at the tax site. Seems like last year went with easy. I know they were excepting returns on the offical day Feb. 19th. Last year it was the 16th and i got my on the 29th. Anyone heard of any delay's?
Mine got hung up for 2 months in 2013 for no good reason. I had to call and get it ironed out. You haven't been put on hold until you have been put on hold by the IRS. I was on the phone for 4 hours.
Filed mine on the 12th as well and got a text on the 14th that it was accepted. When I track my refund on turbotax, it says any time between Jan 19th and Feb 8th.
Bingo, bango. S'wat I'm doing. I'll wait until the last day/hour. I wish I could mail them a six dick burrito as well.
Huh? I assume the only reason someone would do it early is because they know they are getting a refund. Why would they wait?
check your status here. Gives anticipated date of approval too https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp
my bet is you run payroll through a system like ADP in which the W2's are available online prior to your employer distributing them. Fairly standard course nowadays.
This. My FT job used ADP so I can access that one early, but a steady side gig that I have never mails it until very late January and I can't access it online.
i just got my w2 today - I should be getting my w2 from my previous employer in the mail early next week. I am probably going to go to an accountant this year to help since I dont know what if any benefits i could be entitled to having moved between states
filed 13th, got "recieved" status on 14th, said 21 days from that date I'll get my refund, which puts me next Friday at the 21st day
To many forms (K-1s, etc.), too much alternative income, etc. We have to extend every year because about half of our tax forms don't even shows up until over the summer.
Just filed mine today. I had to figure out how to do the "Claim of right" credit since I had to payback some income I got in 2013. I was due for about 230 but the claim bumped it up to 1500. Not bad. I would rather not get or give at the end of the year but will gladly take the 1500.
21 days doesn't really mean anything. They didn't start processing returns until the 19th. The IRS used to abide by a pretty reliable calendar, but not anymore.
