Can you explain to me why Code Geass is the best anime you have seen. I have watched many series and I tried to start it. It was pretty dull.

I knew he was getting too overconfident. He's been so focused on saving her that he hasn't thought about who the killer might be, since he definitely doesn't think it's his adult friend. When the episode ended, I'm thinking WTF I gotta wait another week for this????

    This show is too good.

who do you guys think the killer is?
at this point, is it the mother/father or did she get kidnapped in the morning?

Honestly have no idea. I used to suspect their teacher but he doesn't seem like it or maybe thats what we're supposed to think?!

I'm tempted to read the manga to find out what happens. Usually I don't mind waiting a week for new episodes of anime, but something about this show has me so hooked I'm way to invested, lol

I need help, i'm on the verge of spoiling myself because i'm impatient lol. Must watch something to get my mind off erased.

I can't wrap my mind on all the possible suspects so i'll go with it's someone who has yet to be introduced :p

    Regarding the killer:
It's definitely not the adult friend (Yuuki), as the main character always claimed the guy is innocent and the mom said something like "I'm sorry, so my son was right" when looking at the killer. Means it's definitely not Yuuki.

Also suspected the teacher at first, but he seems so friendly now and helped the kids a lot. I don't see why he would do it, he genuinely seemed interested in making the kids happy (with the birthday party, etc) and I see no motive or clue for him being a killer.

In Episode 1, when the main character walked by the killer who had just left the mom's apartment, the killer had glowing red eyes. Now, the day before the girl was killed last episode, her mom's eyes had the exact same color when meeting the two kids at one point. Coincidence? Would be weird, as she has brown eyes the rest of the time and the night sky didn't make anyone else's eyes red.

Only problem is that the killer looked like a male in regards to clothing, it being the mom would also seem too obvious at this point.

Now, the next question is: Why was the mom killed? Only because she saw the attempted kidnapping? Seems a bit irrational to do this, as she couldn't identify the killer based on the clothing. Seems weird that the killer murdered two people that are close to the main character (we now know that the girl and him met at the museum 18 years ago and were friends, because of the deja-vu), maybe he's after the guy and wants to make his life miserable? But this would make it hard to explain why the killer waited 18 years for the 2nd murder.
Arghh one week is so far away.

Did you finish the piano anime (forgot the name, lol) yet? Teh feels are so heavy.
Forgot to name some other animes for you. Seeing that you liked Golden Time, I take it you like the romantic comedies with a school setting? Watched a ton of them since December and have so many recommendations, if you want some.

Btw the opening theme of Erased is very nice, title is "Re:Re:" by Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Haven't heard of them before and checked out their albums, really good music (Re:Re: is on their album "Sol-Fa".), definitely recommended!

As far as why he would kill the mother. I think this guy is a meticulous psycho. The mother definitely got a picture of the vehicle he was in, maybe even the plate number. And I need to rewatch, but I believe she was talking to someone about knowing who the killer was. So the killer obviously recognized the mom from 1988 and felt he needed to take care of her. Which is also why he took her phone for that picture as well.

And I agree with another poster that the killer may not have been introduced formally yet so his identity is definitely still up in the air

The girl's mother wasn't the only one shown with red eyes I don't believe. I remember seeing the mother's bf with red eyes as well fwiw.

Same here, hte only reason I saw it is because a friend was watching the first 3 episodes. Its great for the reason that its a complete story from start to finish and brilliantly done. I don't want to give too much away, but its a nice mix of deathnote like plotting, mecha, sci-fi, topped of with a count of monte cristo/VforVendetta type of revenge. Its a lot deeper and thought provoking than most also. I had FMA before it and psycho pass close behind, but Code Geass just seems more complete. By the end of the 2nd season you feel as though the story has been told and comes full circle.
