Great trade Nick. Fair to all parties. However I think Evans would be a horrible horrible fit here and I hope it doesnt' happen. The team would need to clone the ball and play with two.
Teague is a career 35% three point shooter so that's pretty solid. He's really improved the last couple of seasons
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=zyer94c Capela, Thornton, and Jones for Mirotic The Bulls get the rim protection and 3pt shooting they desperately need. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jlgss9s Lawson for Pekovic and Martin. Allows the Wolves to go full tank mode, gives them tons of cap space for the off-season to start rebuilding around Wiggins and Towns. Howard/Pekovic Mirotic/Smith/D-Mo Ariza/Brewer Harden/Martin Beverley/Terry I would give the Bulls Jones or D-Mo for Mirotic (both are restricted meaning they can match D-Mo and re-sign him for cheap).
I know Evens would be a risky fit, but I think he's become more of a team player as he has matured, his jump shot improving helps a lot. He's just so talented, that I think if you can get Teague for Ariza, that he would be the best replacement we could find. Maybe he doesn't fit well, but if he does him Harden and Teague would be a absolutely relentless back court to guard with all players being able to slash, finish or pass.
I wish it wasn't today, but I think it is. This is Harden's team. In two years, when Harden is a free agent, do you want him to look at this roster and see 33 y/o Howard and Ariza as the other corner pieces for the franchise? No.....the window for this team as constructed has closed, and it's not so much due to their underperformance as it is the dominance of GSW and SAS. We went 1-8 vs GSW last year. They have gotten better and we are worse. We went 1-3 vs SAS last year. Again, they have gotten better and we are worse. The reality of our present situation is staring us in the face. We are in the middle of the dual-dynasties of GSW and SAS, and it's going to take a Herculean effort to overcome both of them. Our best path forward is to reset the timeline, i.e. get another star for the price of Dwight + Ariza + whatever (Love), try to recruit another one (Durant) in free agency, surround them with amazing defenders, and hope that's enough.
It's not that he's selfish. It's how ball dominant he is and what he does on the court. It's too much overlap with Harden. If it was impossible to integrate Lawson it will be even more impossible to integrate Evans. And with how many minutes Harden plays you can't just have him to be off the bench. Teague for Ariza I think serves both teams. Teague is also now entering his prime. I think the Ariza offer may be the best the Hawks will get right now. Perhaps throw them Jones too or something like that a small asset. If they want a backup pg they can get one for cheap. Augustin for example. The teams that want a pg are BKN, Utah, MIL, and NY. Two have not enough assets and two are unwilling to trade their assets for Teague. So there. And Lawson will not stay here , there's no way in hell that Morey opts in in his 13 mil per contract. He will be off to BKN. I definitely see your point of view and I think many others around the league share it. The bad thing for us is that all our assets are in their lowest point of value but the clock is ticking. One of them can go poof or lose immense value to the point of becoming a negative (dwight with a 22+ per contract) and the other asset is getting older. I mean everyone gets older, but when a player has hit 30 and has so many miles in their body there is a red alarm.
I would be all for a trade for love. The biggest thing with that would be the next coach would have to be defensive minded and get harden and love to give 100% effort on that end of the floor at all times. My question would be if we acquire love what scenario would we have to acquire love to still make a run for durant? Is a big 3 of harden durant and love possible?
No thanks. Dude is an egotistical ******* from personal experience by meeting him, friends brother meeting him etc... the dude is a hothead and do not want in our locker room. Me and my friend were at a bar in San Antonio (of course when he played for them) and my friends brother (lets call him bro) works at the bar. Of course we're pretty shocked that Bellineli rolls up into the bar so we go say our hello's and sit back down. Further into the night, Belli consistently gets pissed and angry at bro, saying the service (which is rated 5 stars on many websites) is slow and awful... causing a scene etc etc. He then demands and I mean DEMANDS free drinks from bro whilst calling him boy, peasant and slave threatening him to have him fired (Belli isn't even drunk. He's had 2 drinks at this point) and then proceeds to leave in an angry fashion without leaving a tip.
Did I mention he didn't pay his tab (which was all of $20) as he walked out? Guess I forgot. His friend or agent or whoever consistently apologized and took up the tab
What you have said here better be true because now when I see him I'm swingin on site, so just know if you hear on the news that pen15clubber had been shot by this mans entourage that it's on you. I believe you though so I will do this for you and your brother
He who fights and runs away... Lives to fight another day... Just saying....:grin::grin: T_Man
I'd take him. Rockets are at a point where they might need to go all Offense. Not like they are playing any D anywho.
lmao, that thought's crossed my mind. I mean, how many points can the other team score on you? And as long as you have Harden playing out there other teams will just keep taking turns attacking him so bad defenders would go unnoticed next to him. Is this too much for Mirotic? It probably is and the Bulls still probably say no. I don't get why they would considering this trade fill in a lot of needs for them while giving them a young asset with potential to be better than Mirotic down the line. The Rockets window is closing and Mirotic is a 2 way, triple threat player. Keep getting those players and things will eventually work out imo.
I'm sorry for your bad experience. Slave?? wow. It's too much for Mirotic and also the second proposal it's very very bad for the Rockets. Minny should pay to get rid of Pek not get anything good or even neutral in return. Not even Brewer is enough neg value to equalise Pek's. Anyway the Bulls wont' do any trades anyway. If they did it would be for a wing. But most probably they wont' anymore, with Scumleavy coming back soon and with all those injuries in their bigs. And Taj and Pau always have some kind of injuries keeping them out every season for games. Esp Taj lately with his ankles.
D-Mo, Capela, and Thornton for Mirotic is too much and yet the Bulls still won't do it. Weird how that works. And what's wrong with Pekovic? Is his injury that serious? I haven't kept up with Minny this season, but if he bounces back that contract is not that bad in the new NBA for a legit backup C.
