I had this argument with someone else too and I was pushing for Kemba, but you have to give credit to Thomas - dude is balling this year and putting up ridiculous offensive numbers in 28-32 minutes a game.

I guess the last second effort games with triple doubles pushed him in the minds of the coaches.

    Funny how it happened...

I only say that because it feels like the Spurs and GS should have two max. Davis has a losing team and I feel like Dirk should be in over him. Dame Fighting for a 8th seed playoff spot as well and is the head honcho of his team.

I don't necessarily disagree with Klay and Davis - guess just saying you could argue Dame and Dirk should have a spot instead.

I don't know about that. I'd entertain Kemba over IT but in the discussion I was having it was pretty clear that IT was posting better per 36 numbers and the Celtics were clearly better. I did argue that Kemba was a better two way player than IT.

But Wall, to me, is head and shoulders better than Kemba and IT.

oh I think Wall is a better player overall of course. but as far as rewarding a player i think Kemba is more deserving at this moment than Wall. Similar in the sense that just like how I don't think AD is more deserving than Dirk and that Dirk should have been in his spot.

By the way, there haven't been any independent confirmations of those rosters... He's the only guy posting it so far.

Middleton and Walker deserve the All star nod ten times over chucking no defence midget IT. Who also a lot of times plays against bench players.
And if you talk about winning teams..then what is AD doing there? It's just an excuse to have a Boston player.
    Boston bias. Nothing new.
Like Pelton and all the other hacks were telling everyone that Boston would be the second seed and win 50 games. Yeah right. Overhype Overhype Overhype as always.

Something tells me that you don't like the Celtics very much :)

I'm OK with IT making it but I agree with you that Walker should be in the discussion. I like Middleton but I'm not sure he's quite there yet. He should get there someday though.

I don't have a problem with the Celtics I have a problem with overhyping.
It happens to two teams in particular. The Bulls and the Celtics. They can have a turd and it's overhyped to the point that he's considered a nugget. Nope.
Isaiah Thomas is the same dude he has always been and IF HE HADN'T ELITE DEFENSIVE WINGS next ot him in Bradley and Crowder let me tell you hwo the Celtics defence would look like.
If anything I would vote for Crowder over I.T .

oh and btw why middleton doesn't deserve it over IT?
    Better shooter : check
    Better defender: double triple check
    Better clutch player : check

Because he is't a chucker and has the green light?

    http://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/rockets/article/James-Harden-earns-a-fourth-NBA-All-Star-selection-6791502.php?t=4fd1c6f85c438d9cbb&cmpid=twitter-premium

OKLAHOMA CITY - When asked if he would be and should be an All-Star selection, Rockets guard James Harden laughed as if there could be no doubt.

"What do you think?" Harden said.

    JBB:

"When it's at that time in fourth quarters, we put him on guys and he locks guys up. Anybody can watch a YouTube video that somebody makes and make an assumption off that. But if you really study it, pay attention to it, when it matters most, he's at his best."

"Defensive rebounding is a huge part of defense," Bickerstaff said.

The coach is still stupid as I think.

If you play no defense, there will be no defensive rebounding at all. They will make every shot, and some scrub player will get his career high.

Defensive rebounding? You needs to play defense at first!

i have to admit i havent watched the all star events for years. even if i did occasionally, the first day of events attracted me way more than the actual "games".

JB is either dumb or really dumb if he really thinks a guy that stand around waiting for rebound = defense.

Marc Gasol won DPOY and he averaged only 7 rebounds that year. Why?? Because when you're playing help defense, you're out of position to get rebounds so you won't get the stats.

Remember when Rodman was a great defender? He wasn't getting 20 rebounds a game when he was a great defender. Later in his career, all Rodman did was stand around to get rebound and stopped playing defense because he wanted the stats.
