Honestly if they go weak on a coach this off season then you can't argue for Morey any more. It'll just be he thinks he's playing NBA2k.
I'm in no way anti-analytics. What I'm saying is you can have a GM that builds a team off analytics, but you also need a coach that knows how to coach up his players and also give suggestions on players he thinks would fit well with the current roster based on what he knows about basketball and player personalities. Just look at the Spurs and Warriors as two of the greatest examples. Both teams can get players that aren't much good anywhere else but somehow when they become part of that organization, they gel with the current roster and thrive.
Benching players doesn't improve their court IQ or defense. It sure hasn't helped Capela or Thornton, LOL.
I still think the Rockets can still compete with the Spurs. Rockets are just dumb and Panic and try to get all the points back in one possession. It all started with the Hack strategy by Pop. Pop is a great coach and saw that the Rockets were getting in a groove and hacked just enough to get Rockets all out of whack. Hacking is a desperation move. I believe if the Rockets slowed down and just pounded it into Dwight they would be in better shape.
there's only one thing left for the rockets to do...admit defeat and pull the Spurs players' shorts down at start of a jump ball...and make a run for the team bus!
This team and its obsession with shooting 3's at all cost Dwight has danny green on him but we got to find a 3 too shot, even if we arent hitting a thing from there
The Rockets couldn't even keep pace with the Spurs. I wouldn't mind a loss if we kept the game competitive but this team is heavily flawed, starting with the coach and some of the players on this team that bring NOTHING.
