Anderson is the one guy I DON'T want.

I watch a lot of the Pelicans, and Ryan Anderson may be one of the 5 worst defensive players in the entire league. He is absolutely awful.

If you get frustrated with Terrence Jones' defense at the 4 spot, you will tear your hair out watching Ryan Anderson and long for the days of a below average defender in Jones.

He's also a very streaky shooter on offense. One game he might be hot and rain 3's, but other games he might not be able to hit the broad side of a barn.

When he's hitting from deep, he MIGHT make up for his terrible defense. Barely. When he's not hitting from deep, combine that with his awful defense, and he is virtually useless on the court. He will hurt the team badly on those nights. And they happen fairly often.

I know the idea of a guy raining 3's from the 4 spot is appealing, but Ryan Anderson may turn this team into the worst defensive team in the league by himself. He is not the guy for this team.

    yes.

both anderson and love can shoot the lights out, but love's d, esp. his rebounding, is way better than anderson's.

To say that Kevin Love's D is way better than another player's is a horrific indictment on the other player. In this case, Anderson.

admittedly i only watch the cavs and the nop on national tv a few times or when they play the rockets. but from what i've observed last couple of seasons, that's my impression of the 2 players.

and you cant deny the rebound diff. b/w the 2.

anyway, neither is likely to come to hou...

God, I hope we don't get Love. He is NOT ELITE. Piss poor defense that compromises the team when playing against the best of the west. Furthermore, his scoring is streaky.

As someone who has Anderson in 2 fantasy leagues (1 where you lose a point for every missed fg) I can attest to this comment. He's just not very good both in fantasy and in reality. Anderson is surprisingly inefficient and more nights than not, his 3s are not going down. He'll have the odd hot shooting night which makes you think he's good, but then throw up a clunker the next game. He's just as inconsistent as Terrence Jones really. No thanks.

A future PF rotation of DMo, JSmoove, and Ryan Anderson would be nice.

Add DMo to that, and we might get back a Anderson

No need to point it out, it's obvious and kind of funny.

dont want either. dragic is overrated, and love cant fit in cleveland and no defense. dont want them here. this team's woes cant be solved with a single trade. it needs change from the coaches to the players and maybe even the gm. i think they should ride this season out and see what jb can do. then do a massive overhaul in the offseason

Anderson is a possibility. "Not likely", if only because few trades can actually occur anyway.

But Kevin Love? The Cavs would have to get an offer they can't refuse from the Corleone family. From Daryl Morey, it would have to involve Dwight Howard for the Cavs to even listen. (This all being academic anyway, then Daryl would need side trades to clear out superfluous power forwards, etc etc, not to mention an answer for replacement at center.)

I could see a deal for Dragic centered around Lawson.

Dragic hasn't played very well with the Heat this year, and they may be feeling buyers remorse, with Whiteside going on the market and them not having enough to re-sign him and Wade comfortably I could see a potential deal.

    Lawson + Dmo(Jones) for Dragic?

Heat get to re-sign Whiteside and Wade first, then match Motie or Jones. Could be a win-win.

Wouldn't touch Dragic's toxic contract with a 20 foot pole.

4 more years nearing 20 million, for a 29 year old.

I could see something like that, maybe. If DMo is healthy; but would he stay there? Would he get the money (again, if he's healthy)? Would he not want to back up Bosh?

Thing is, Daryl Morey sees everything as an overpay unless the player is an All Star. Dragic makes beaucoup dollars. Has Morey given up the Durant pipe dream? Etc.

Is Danilo Gallinari available at all? He's a free agent this offseason and Denver is going nowhere. I know he's missed about three seasons worth of games, but looks great now. I've liked him for a long time. He would be insane in a small ball lineup.

Dragic was great for us back then. His contract now.... Still, that would be a surprise for me. KLove was always a target for us, but there's no way Cleveland is letting him go this year. They want to see what he can do, healthy, in the playoffs. I would be shocked to see anyone on the Cavs, with the exception of CurlySue, traded.

From my side of the the Non-Hodgkin's world of discussions:

We already have our Free Bird. Doc let him out like Maya :p.
There's another one being discussed, but he's indifferent about being let out. Fly Ry is always on the radar (for everyone, but they need him next to AD right now) How about another unhappy camper? You know, a guy who got his education from Tennakey, who can play PG/SG/SF/PF (sometimes)? That's what I've heard being available. I mean we all hate injuries, but at least he's not the overpaid guy with an injured hand. I don't know if I like the price....

Smoov solves A LOT at the PF position, especially as Dwight comes back. But, we cannot rely on DMo or Clint at this point. We need some offense from the pick and pop. None of our PFs can do that very well, including JSmoov. Not Jennings, but a different type of veteran Fish has been whispered to want out. If it were up to me, I'd hit up Hillary and ask for my boy to be released on his expiring. (?)

As much as some want him gone, TJ is very important to the team at this moment. Still, as Morey calls everyone, he's an asset that has a bunch of interest. I really don't know how this will all work out. Personally, I think TJ and Dwight play very well together.

Our resident drinker may want more minutes, but he's also very connected to James. There's deals on the table for him, but they're not equal in value. When said drinker is playing well, he can be one of the best. He's just not where we expect him yet. Cyber mentioned a Bucks deal. I haven't heard anything other than Ty will be here. I'm just grateful for Pat Beverly's headstrong play and perseverance.

Again, I just get to be the Ears in some convos/emails/texts/laughs. I don't name names until that deadline passes because I value my job, and my ability to pay for radiation.

All the best to ya'll, (even if you hated me for the Smithsonian excitement) and let's rough up Timmy tonight.

Is Dwight playing? I haven't heard back.
