9 straight wins, 2nd seed in the East, they have been playing great basketball lately. Are they going far this post season or they'll choke in the playoffs?
They're doing great even with Carroll out, they fortified their defense with 3 strong defensive players in Carroll, Biysmack and Joseph, which allows them to play multiple different lineups depending on matchups, JV has been real good and DeRozan has been playing out of his minds, i'm pretty sure they're going to get past 1st round Regardless of the matchup, and then anything goes.
They're a very good team, but I just don't know if they have enough to get by the Cavs or Bulls in a 7 game series. They will be a team to watch out for though.
Remind me of a poor man's Golden State Lowry = Curry Derozen = Klay Carroll = Barnes/Iggy hybrid Scola/2Pat = nothing like Green but they are playing well Biyombo = Bogut/Ezeli They have JV who can be a legitimate post option and Joseph who is one of the best backups in the league. Ross on his days can also play well.
they have a good team but I don't think they have enough consistent contribution as far as bigs to go deep. Unless lowry/derozen both play lights out together throughout the playoffs they'll likely struggle/fall after the 1st round.
they are the Hawks of last year... having a great regular season but once they see the cavs in the playoffs their season will be over
Fodder until proven otherwise.. Your 48-49 win seasons are nice, though only to then lose in the first round? Lost to the Nets and swept by the Wizards? Are you kiddin' me!? If there's any good news, they won't see Paul Pierce this year. Unless he & they get to the Finals.
Why can't the Rockets have a fool's gold regular season just once? I thought this was the year we'd finally break that 60win wall as a franchise .
