according to espn trae machine its only 1.1 mil too much. shouldnt the two trade exceptions cover that? anyway if we give them someone else we have to get more in return. i dont care who as long as its not a long bad conttract
so far i can only confirm that he got it from his ass. hopefully there's more cuz dudley for jones straight up would be sweet for both sides
I really think this may be the year we don't trade before the deadline (unless it's KJ or the rookies) We can't afford to trade T Jones. Morey saw the risks of being thin in the front court and Dmo won't be able to prove he's fully healthy before mid-Febuary. We'd have to bring in another PF if we're trading Jones but we don't have anything to bring in an upgrade at the 4. As for Brewer, his contract isn't pretty, and the team that would use him best is us. Yes he's been pretty bad, but he started the season off horrendously. I think Morey likes the other things he brings and would be patient for him to put the ball in the hoop in better fashion as the season goes on.
Jones is completely and totally expendable. The Rockets like to go small and you have 3 big men better than him even if you don't count DMo or Harrell (which you should). Sure without him we'll miss his one or two good games a month, but in reality, Jones is just wasting a roster spot.
since this season is a wash, we can afford experimenting with the 4 spot after trading jones. we got capella, ariza, and harrel who can split time at the 4. even harden can get some time at the 4 with every team using small ball lineups. and with an extra roster spot we can always sign a hustle pf for the rest of the season. with capella and ariza, rockets will never have a talent issue at the 4, nor depth with harrel. the only problem is not having a true starting pf. thats not bad problem if u can compensate for it somehow. warriors have 6'7 green at pf, clippers keep switching starts sf, okc has dion waiters at starting sg. teams dont need to be perfect, they just need to be competitive. spurs dont really have a true center, duncan is too old for that and he's their closest thing to center.
We still got two stars that are more one dimensional than those teams you mentioned (Spurs...GSW...Clips) We try to cope with it.
Countdown to Brewer & Jones!!! . . . . . Brewer & Jones not moved. Jones could/should still go; Brewer seems less likely.
yeah thats weird huh? they're still here. less than 12 hours left.. weird at least trade jone for some tacos and enchiladas
TJones should not see any PT the next 27 games, the team should give his minutes to Harrell/Chu and KJ should get Thornton's minutes now that he has been traded.
