But he already went into free agency didnt u say u were just dealing with facts you can confirm? Is it or is it not a fact that Parsons was let go in free agency? I mean you keep insisting on only what you can confirm but somehow Parsons would still make 1M in ur make-believe world when the facts and reality is that Morey freed him from his contract.

And to what end btw? The rox already reached the max of last season by reaching wcf, are you suggesting Parsons was so amazing he couldve lead us past gsw? And again this is supposing Parsons stayed healthy which as we all know he didnt. So at the end of the day you are crying over theoretical spilled milk when u happen to be lactose intolerant anyway.

I never said I hated Parsons. I thought he played well for the Rockets and he actually was one of my favourite players on the team. I 'hated' how he left - i.e.: signing his deal couple of hours into FA and not giving the Rockets the time they needed to sort everything before potentially resigning him. And I 'hated' some of the comments he made after he left.

Now, I don't hold a grudge against him, like some others on here do - but I do get where those guys are coming from! I still think he is a nice talent.

I get what you are saying, that we didn't have to let him go into FA a year early BUT there seem to be reasons for that (likely the agent angle) - again Morey has mentioned on several occasions that there were 'behind the scenes' reasons for their decisions - this is the point you seem to be missing.

I never compared the acquisition of Ariza to a straight up trade or anything. And sure in theory we could have had both Parsons and Ariza on the team. Again I don't think it would have happened, because I doubt that Ariza would have joined the Rockets to come off the bench.

Had Bosh signed here, we would have kept Parsons, even at his current contract - but things didn't happen that way and they decided that Chandler wasn't worth that contract (which personally I agree with).

Even though I really liked Parsons, I never felt that his loss was a big deal. I don't feel like it impacted the team all that much. Ariza replaced Parsons in the starting lineup and has done a great job. He is cheaper, was a clear defensive upgrade, he can get hot (hopefully he will stay this hot for many many games) at times, has proven championship experience and most importantly has been rather healthy his entire career.

they'd go over to the other teams bench and say "here's the deal, you dont guard us, and we wont guard you. ok?" how can you say no to that? you'd have be guarding 3 offensive juggernaughts. one of them happens to be the best player in the world.

I still don't get how OP is wrong? Ariza's been on a tear recently but he's still far too streaky. Only a matter of time before he starts tossing up bricks again.

By the way it's funny how our fans have been falsely attributing this mini-resurgence to Smoove when it's been pretty much all Harden/Trev. James has returned back to his MVP level since the Clippers loss while Ariza is playing like Klay Thompson at the moment. With the way he's destroying PF's surely we can't go back to the Capela/Dwight lineup once D12 returns?

how many 3's are way better than ariza in the league? i bet there aren't too many. esp. considering the size of his contract and the fact that we want a 3&d 3...

we dont win the games against the bucks and the mavs w/o smith. i thought that was a consensus.

and if the improved play by harden lately was "his mvp level", then your expectation of a league mvp is way too low, lol.

i dunno if its just the young fans or '10ers, but most ariza criticizers dont understand he wasnt brought in here to be a 35-40mpg player. those aren't role player minutes, those are superstar minutes. he needs to do too much for this team and still does a good job of it. on an incredibly cheap ass contract compared to other 3d players.

im hoping brewer, jones and maybe a non rotation player can get us a good backup 3d wing. even with brewer and jones play this season, it should do that. they're still far from absolute scrubs, they just regressed. brewer needs to be in the right system. jones might be in his last years i dunno but he's young and working on a 3pt shot so its worth a shot for any team willing to trade

I was actually supporting your argument by the list. It's not a big list is it?

Obviously you have to way things up (such as contract, defense etc.) but all of those guys are more complete players than Ariza 100%.

His form of late has been fantastic and I am the first to give credit where it's due, but don't let it deceive you. Like another poster said, he's still far too streaky and if his three isn't falling he is virtually useless on the offensive end. He cannot make plays for others off the dribble and is an awful finisher at the rim.

Again, awesome to see him in form. Just pointing out facts.
