I highly doubt he got fired just because the Warriors loss. I read somewhere that Blatt would draw up plays during timeout for players that aren't even in the game :grin::grin: Not sure if it's true.

The Warriors will obviously be the faves going into the playoffs... But I want to remind people how different the playoffs are. The variables of a regular season game are gone. You won't catch a team on the end of a b2b, or in the middle of a brutal road stretch, or on a night where the team just doesn't have the energy to compete for whatever reason. We saw this last year. The Warriors dominated the regular season, but it wasn't that way in the playoffs. They had close games with every match up they had. They dominated us in the regular season and the Rockets almost stole two games on the road against them. The Grizzlies were beating them pretty well, The Cavs gave them a good scare. All of this to say that yes, the Warriors will be big faves in the playoffs. Personally though I'm not giving them the trophy yet. Also teams sometimes in the regular season do not practice or plan for opponents. That goes out of the window in the playoffs. Things change massively. Yes of course the Warriors proved they are up for it last year but I doubt if they meet the Spurs in a series that they will run away with it like this.
Pop was too smart to bring his A game for this game. There are still 3 more regular season matchups and he knows that they're going to meet in the playoffs. I'm sure he didn't run his best stuff. He's going to save that for when it counts.
So was timmy really injured, or is this one of those pop i'm not showing my team @ full strength move.
No one is saying these are the playoffs right now. It's always better to peak in May instead of January. Warriors can always go into a slump or Curry gets injured. For now, I'm just sitting back and enjoying the show. And yes, I do think if Warriors continue to play this way the Rockets have zero chance of beating them.
I'm not convinced letting your boys being violated physically and mentally is a good strategy. A loss like this clings between the ears. Yes they might get angry and rise to another level, but with this gap I would be afraid they react like everyone and feel that they stand no chance. Anyways, so much for the Spurs being the antidote versus the Warriors. What a massacre
Different situation, but he did pretty much don't care about that when he rested his team against Miami in '12.
