    It's obviouis our team has not been the same this year.
    Something has been missing. Lethargic play, boring ISO's, porous D.
    Became quite painful to watch actually.

    UNTIL NOW!
    Josh Smith seems to be our X Factor. Our missing ingredient.

    We're looking more like last years' 2nd seed the last couple of games.
    You know something has changed when even Corey Brewer is making
    positive contributions! LOL

    Let's hope we can build on this momentum and energy and
    send a message to SA, OKC and the whole WC
    Time to kick it up a notch

    Ryan Anderson looked like Stephen Curry the last time we played the Pelicans. Evans and Holiday are shooting the 3 well this season which more than makes up for Gordon being out. The Pelicans would rather have it in their hands because both of them are triple threat players capable of creating something out of nothing now that teams have to give some respect to their 3 ball. Asik always wants revenge on the Rockets, so it's a tough match against a division rival fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.

    The Rockets will really miss Dwight tonight since the Pelicans have so many bigs to throw at us. Not to mention Davis over the last three games is averaging: 30 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.7 blocks while shooting 50% from 3. You have to try to get him in foul trouble early. Pump fake him in the air (on drives) and see if he bites. Shot blockers normally do. For some reason he is better at shooting longer mid range jumpers over shorter ones. Once he gets in the paint your best bet is to probably give him that jumper and close out or get ready to set up for the charge if he decides to take it in.

    i heard dwight isnt playing tonight. aint looking too good for our rebounding dept. and if we lose the rebounding battle, our chance of winning the game aint looking too good.

    One option if the Rockets go small on Davis is to make him work on defense by chasing around the guy he is guarding through off-ball screens and trying to make him pick up a foul if he is in foul trouble. Davis has a tendency to help and recover/play the passing lanes well when teams try to make him guard the perimeter. It is harder to do this when you have to watch out for your man coming off screens and shooting or your man moving to another spot with another defender blocking you off so he can shoot/cut.

    You know it's jacked up when the guy who actually had back surgery most recently (Dekker) is "Targeting March" and the guy who had back surgery 2 calendar years ago (D-Mo) is "Out Indefinitely."
