apparently someone from the Kings FO is leaking stuff in barage in realgm and he mentions the Rockets multiple times.
He broke the story about the Pelicans/Kings Gay talks before Woj did so he at least has some credibillity and doesn't completely make things up.

    Here what he said :
He also gave a HUGE list of available players in trade talks that have been discussed.

I dont' know this guy or how credible he is but he seems to have some kind of credibillity. He's right now singing like a canary.

Also it's the Kings FO. They leak like a sinking boat. Still amazing if this person is in their FO.

    TAKE A DEEP BREATH lol

He said that there are three teams more possible than Rockets for Gay and Gay is out of the door. The Bulls The Celtics and the Clippers. The Rockets are a darkhorse.
He also said that the Pelicans have practically be given a deadline and if time passes the deal for Rhyno will be off and that they won't be able to find a better one than the Kings made.

    Here:
    http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1417271&start=180#start_here

The important part for the Rockets is that according to this guy Dwight and Ariza have been offered to teams and that it's very likely taht Dwight will get traded. And that Ainge may make an offer with his picks..

Sorry, his apparent credibility went out the door when he said we offered Howard for Gay and Koufos LOL. What a moron. I believe Morey may have been inclined to trade Howard when things were going awfully but with Smoove arriving, Howard having an excellent month and Harden looking much sharper, Howard is going nowhere.

there's an explanation IF true why Morrey would do that.
But I'm not going to speculate further. But that tidbit on its own doesn't disprove that person's credibillity.
I have my doubts but we will find out. He said that Gay will likely be traded in this week.

I wish Cyber could collaborate or not on the Gay story because he has already given lots of info on him and perhaps has some connection.

And apparently there is a deal on the table taht now is the frontrunner for Rhyno from a western conference team that will give a versatile young forward and a vet that is not that old. And the pelicans are familiar with both players..? Who is it?

What's your explanation as to why we would do such an awful trade? Why not speculate further, it's a forum thars what it's for ;) kind of pointless to say you think you know why and then get cold feet

Appreciate the info malakas brings on the kings front. But i dont see the Rockets trading Howard. At least certaintly not for the package described. I just dont see him traded at all. Feel it will be more of a role player swap at best.

Malakas, thanks for scouring the realgm team forums for trade nuggets. Helpful!

Putney is a better ball handler, passer, shot blocker, rebounder and greater 3 pt range than Covington had RIGHT NOW, never mind when he was in the D League.

Where do think Covington started before being brought up to the NBA? Same with Canaan, Whiteside, Galloway, Capella, D-Mo, TJones, etc. You have to start somewhere.

A guy like Putney is exactly the kind of player that Morey finds before they explode. You'd understand that better if you were thatMANnick.

Trading Howard would be suicidal for Morey. This team struggles with rim protection, post defense and rebounding as it is.

Trading Howard isn't that bad because Houston has close to 0 shot of winning a championship this season, and the only purpose of retaining Howard is so he can play 38-40 mpg in the playoffs and be a complete animal. Capela is our long term guy as he can play up to 30 mpg in the near future and is the type of center that fits well with where the NBA is going (low usage, solid defensively, high % shots and runs well).

If the Spurs and Warriors weren't so damn good I'd hold on to Howard tight, but in the near future we need some serious long term answers at the 4 and a little more depth and time for development/cohesiveness.

Do you understand that Covington was in college before being drafted into the NBA and Putney was playing in the Western Australian second division (chance of NBA prospect: 0.0000000000000000000000000001%)??

I could care less who is/ will be a better player, but it is worth noting that Covington was a 'somebody' when he was in the DLeague (an NBA player on assignment), while Putney is a 'nobody' (West Australia 2nd div player trying to make it in the DLeague).
I'm not saying Putney will never make it, but I am saying that if you think he is NBA ready right now you might be missing something. Check the Putney thread for further info on his deficiencies, probably makes Ty Lawson look like an all NBA defender in comparison...

I hope not. He will be a good bench player for us in the future and can be a 10/10 guy but that's it.

heh I don't know why. I don't know whether this poster is legit.
But if someone told me that Morrey was calling around for Dwight then the explanation is simple.
Dwight has made known to Morrey through his agent, that he will not take any discount and/or that he will leave in FA. In that case the wise decision would be to trade him and get back something or lose him for nothing.
If it's either paying a 5 year 30 mil per contract to 30 year Dwight or him leaving in FA, then a smart GM, would look at what he can do to get some assets.
No problem. Someone else found it and posted in the Bucks forum that's how I saw it.
There have been multiple insiders posting in realgm. Every big subforum has. Codmans and Cybers..and Plowmans. Now this guy gives the most I have ever seen any one who calls himself insider.
That makes it on the other hand easier to discredit him. Most insiders and fake insiders give cryptic info and as court as possible, and for fakes that's what makes them last the most time before being run off because they can't be discredited and/or whatever they say it's so cryptic they are right no matter what.

Now this guy here, says things straight up and too many things. So it will be easy soon to see if he's legit. He has lasted quite a bit already and has brought up legit info before Woj himself said it was true, so lets' see what happens.
Especially if Gay is indeed traded within this week.

I'm interested on what the other guy said too, about the Anderson deal (see that that one was cryptic, while our little Kings friend is the opposite). A west team with a versatile young forward and a veteran that is not old..any guess?

    yup.
Personally I'm tending to believe him more than the opposite because of how forward he is and how much details he has. That's not the MO of fake insiders. They are the exact opposite. Cryptic, generalistic , avoiding answers.
As he said himself a lot of trades discussed fall through, so perhaps Dwight won't end up getting traded..but let's see what happens with Gay and if he's indeed traded soon..at least it would give more credibillity to that guy.

That poster is leaving out key parts of a possible Dwight trade to Sacramento. And those were exploratory talks meant to measure Dwight's trade value just in case we need to deal him because he wants out.
