That's a trade I could go for. Is MIN looking to trade Ricky?

    With those assets?
    1. Evan Turner. (No matter he can't shoot)
    2. That's the description of a superstar. Stretch fours are almost to a rule bad defenders. Unless they are not real stretch fours. So perhaps Gibson. Or Illyasova.
    3. Delly next season.

Athletic 3: Raphiael Putney, 6-10 shot blocking rebounding 3pts specialist
Defensive spacing 4: Perry Jones III, 6-11 uber athlete with ball handling + 3pt range
D specialist 1: Eric Bledsoe (injured for season), Brandon Jennings (nicked up), Terry Rozier (inexperienced)

May not need to get rid of assets just to be rid of them, especially if quality backups can be signed outright instead of traded for. Rockets do not have any first round picks in 2017, Morey can afford to be patient and wait for the best value before pulling trigger o n any trades.

At this point, i have no problem with this deal despite Ricky's shooting. His ability to create for others along with great D is more than enough to cover for his dismal shooting.

IF Cleveland is desperate to get rid of Love and raise the tempo:

Cle in: Capela, Mayo, Brewer, Jones, Hou future 1st, Mil future 2nd (or 2?)

    Mil in: Lawson, Mozgov

    Hou in: Love, Bayless, Plumlee

    Why?
Mil: get a genuine big body in the middle who can anchor a defence. Would let the long limbed roster go nuts defensively. Genuine PG will help them on the offensive end.

    Hou: duh.

Cle: Not sure why they would... but having seen the packages being thrown around, this one is better than some. They get a rim protector in Capela. Brewer fits the up tempo talk of Lue. Mayo is salary match. Jones has a decent skillset as a bench big for them. Saves them a bucket in tax. Picks to bring in cheap running mates for LBJ, Kyrie and TT in coming years.

Why would cleveland do this? Brewer is trash and Tjones is an expiring contract and would want a big deal during the summer so basically you trade Love and Mozghov for Mayo and Capela? From clevelands perspective this is total ripoff remember they traded Multiple picks for Mozghov and Wiggins for Love thats like downgrading for no reason.

Logic is really running the ship right now in Cleveland.... why would you sack a coach when 30-11 and first in conference?
As I said, I wouldnt do it if Cle, but there are far worse proposals out there for them. At least in this one they bring back a high upside rim protector, picks, and an uptempo man with a contract that declines each year.

    Meh, random trade proposal!

Judging by our needs for another 3P shooter and even a plus defender, I would do:

Terrence Jones for Robert Covington straight up.
6-9 with about a 7-2 wingspan and shot 37% from 3 last year, plus alot of upside.

Putney is a better 3 pt shooter, rebounder, shot blocker and defender. And trading TJ is not required.

Bro you can't judge a player purely off their D-league performances. Putney is 25 and has never played in a single NBA game, that is telling, Covington has been in the league for years now. To say Putney is better is ridiculous.

I think he's worth a 10 day contract but let's assume he would make any real contributions because of his Dleague numbers.

Covington came out of the D League just the other season. Rockets don't pay for Covingtons, they find them before they become Covingtons. Stop being a follower.

Putney will better than Covington in every way, book it. And this is coming from a Covington fan when he was with the Vipers.

Putney is certainly worth a look at. More upside than Covington.

I love the idea of a stretch 4. Play the stretch and bev because they fit next to our superstars. Play Lawson and smith because they bring what we need off the bench not because they are worse players

Covington has been in the league 3 seasons, his first year out of college he was signed by the Rockets. He was 23 years old.

I'm not being a "follower", whatever the hell that means with this subject.

Putney has yet to receive a 10 day contract and he blew up on social media. Penciling a D-leaguer as better then a player who was been in the league for 3 years, is ridiculous. Not that Covington is even that good, everybody on that team has super inflated numbers, especially guys like Covington, Canaan and last year Wroten. But still, Covington has been a top player on a NBA team, and that is a much higher accomplishment then anything the Dleague could ever offer.

Booking that Putney is better in every way is ridiculous.

I liked Putneys highlight videos, he looks interesting and worth a 10 day contract. But again, having the expectation that Putney would be a legitimate rotational player without seeing him play 1 NBA minute is silly.

Covingtons' value is much more than Jones' because Covington plays in a position of little depth he is more versatile and more importantly he is under contract for the next two years for 1 million per..meaning most of his prime.
Also Jones is worthless for Philly because they have too many bigs.
they need a wing (who can shoot) not another pf.
