Ty Lue says he did not address the team after the game. Said he learned from Scott Skiles, after an emotional loss, wait until film session — Dave McMenamin Tyronn Lue says players got gassed tonight and it messed up the rotation he had predesigned. **** Tyronn Lue. Definition of a backstabbing piece of ****. I even read he said that he hopes that Blatt coaches the all star game, but conveniently added "I'm open to coach the all star game too"
Blatt might not be the best at managing egos, but his a great coach, let's see what Lue can do. Hope Cavs implode like they never expected and don't even make finals, would be amazing. Bad things for bad people.
Most expensive team being exposed as the worst run organization. They need to blow it up, and trade Lebron while he still has value.
Just because he is a good player doesn't mean he understands how to be a good coach or GM. It's no different than any other player. You see it in the NFL all the time with genius coaching getting GM responsibilities and sucking at it. Coaches know what players fit together and what you need to win. Players don't always see the bigger picture as well.
Seems like a good coach wouldn't try to implement a scheme that his players aren't capable of running.
Perhaps Lue meant he would try to improve what they were already doing and just chose his words poorly. Just a thought. Or maybe he is a back-stabbing lowlife. Either way, I hope the Cavs fail miserably.
Joe Vardon Joe Vardon @joevardon And, now, Ty Lue says he told the team to resume the pre-game intros. Stopping them was a LeBron idea 8:17 PM - 23 Jan 2016
Sad the city of Cleveland has their title hopes tied to Lebron. Part of wants them to win one the other wants Lebron to never win a title again.
Joe Vardon @joevardon Well, Ty Lue true to his word, just ripped LeBron by name with Kyrie and Kevin for not being in shape 8:14 PM - 23 Jan 2016
Probably a roundabout way of blaming Blatt. Suggesting Blatt was too scared of Lebron, Irving, and Love to tell them to get their butts into shape. Or maybe also suggesting the players had no motivation to play for Blatt so they didn't get into shape.
I knew it was a matter of time before Blatt would eventually get thrown under the bus. Cavs' situation very similar to the Rockets: - Both were in the Conference Finals. - Both have high expectations so much so that they fired their coach despite recent success. - Both coaches accused of losing the team in some shape or form. - Both teams likely will not improve that much with the dismissal, so this will serve as a message to both teams that they are on notice. Get your act straight or else. Cavs' situation is much worse. Not only did they fire their guy while hiring his assistant, they EXTENDED him to a multi-year deal. At least the Rockets are probably only giving JB the rest of this season. I actually like the Cavs and thought it would be a great story if LeBron to bring a title back to that city if the Rockets couldn't win. Still a long way to go, but I'm not sure if they're beating any team emerging from the West in the Finals. Thank God for the East, huh?
The Cavs and Rockets handled their midsession firings in very different ways. The Rockets all but blamed the players for McHale getting fired, and they certainly didn't throw him under the bus. The FO told Bickerstaff they were committed to him, but didn't offer a multi year contract. Cavs did pretty much the exact opposite across the board.
The quote has a very different feel in context. The tweeter really tried to stir things up where there is none. Here's the full quote (transcribed by JJ_Reditt on reddit): Source: https://youtu.be/fBzMhqtDn-g?t=24s
I'm defending LeBron for using his clout. What other player is the instant difference between lotto and contender and will double your teams value? I just don't like when we bash athletes for pulling power moves when we typically applaud anyone else for doing it.
