3/25/15 last game 4/9/15 back surgery 12/5/15 Plays his first 6 minutes of NBA basketball in nearly 8 months Plays 14 games with sporatic minutes: 7 minutes 1 night, 19 minutes another night... Last game was 12/31/15 where he played 6 minutes Has missed 10 games now since he went out again. Has missed 30 games so far this season. Has played 14 games out of the Rockets last 73 games. Out indefinitely still. We're told it will be slow getting him back. This sucks.
Rockets gonna have to let him walk in off season. He isn't worth 10+mill a season with the injury problems. The PF position is gonna be a headache to fill next season.
One view of the Power Forward free agent rankings this offseason: http://hoopshype.com/2016/01/16/nba-free-agency-2016-power-forwards 1) Al Horford, ranked #7 overall 5) Ryan Anderson, ranked #22 overall 6) TJ, ranked #26 overall 11) Josh Smith, #52 overall They list DMo as a Center: 1) Andre Drummond, #3 overall 2) Dwight Howard, #4 overall 9) DMo, #34 overall It will be a very interesting interesting offseason with our 'bigs'....particularly with the cap going up by a lot....

Unless he heals quickly and is productive the rest of the season, nobody will give D-Mo "10+ mill a season with the injury problems". He'll sign a one-year deal (or two-year with an option) somewhere, maybe with the Rockets.
man, the Rockets are doing a thorough job of faking this injury. First the MRI,,,now videos of DMo's first "practice" ... shooting without using his legs/back.
Dmo really needs to work on lower body strength. He will get pushed around against the elite defenders like Draymond Green in the low post. Dmo's lower legs are tiny.
Does DMo start training drills with two balls like Curry? Remember coaches watching Curry's warm ups last time
Exactly. He either will decide to take the qo or he will have to sign a very cheap contract. Unless he comes back soon and starts producing at last year level. Normally the qo would be too risky but when the player can get a max the reward is too much.
Anyone who believes injury reports from the players/franchise is drinking the kool-aid!!! Unfortunately DMo is broken. Note I didn't say DD or anyone on here is... Just saying (as mentioned) this franchise is the worst with realistic updates.
I'm sure they will take their time bringing him back now that Josh Smith was just re-acquired. You can't rely on DMOs back not having problems again going down the stretch because back flare ups post surgery are so unpredictable and can come out of no where. He could really help the team but realistically you can't rely on his availability.
Remind me how RFA works. If someone offers DMo 1 year 3 million contract, Rockets need to offer exact contract? They can't give 2 years 5M? What about 2 years 6M?
What's impressive is that they were only supposed to fake it until TJones was traded back on the 15th or whatever, but that didn't happen. The faking they are doing now must be completely unplanned. It's pretty amazing that DMo is completely fine with being held out of games for no reason during his contract year.
