You can call Cruz a lot of things, but he does honestly believe the idiocy he spouts.

 

You will never know what anyone really believes. We only project the image we want people to see, usually as a means to get what we want. Why we want it is a milieu of nature, nurture and desire; and guilt.

I will never understand how people profess to be "Christian" and conservative.
If you wanted to emulate the life of Christ you would be involved in selfless service to the lowest abilities of humanity without ego. Claiming Christianity is usually just a ploy to gain trust. Real Christians live it without the public proclamation.

 

I think if people are honest, very few people are Americans first.
