Josh Smith said he is hopeful to play on Friday after clearing his physical. If he has cleared his physical, there's a pretty decent chance he can give it a go. He'll be logging minutes at power forward tonight or even some time at the five. We'll have an update shortly. Keep Smith on the wire for now.

Can we please stop saying we are showcasing players. Everyone in the NBA knows exactly what TJones can and cannot do. Starting him isn't going to make other teams think any differently of him. And the same goes or Lawson.
at least the Rox might stop playing like a bunch of pooo-seees from here on out with Smith in the locker room and on the court
If they chartered a jet to get him here faster, I would think Les wouldnt be the happiest guy if he got cleared to play and JB said...nah
Man....just shows how awful this team has been this season. Where Smith coming back is like winning the Lotto. Rockets have a long ways to go to become a contender. Hope the mentality changes....kick it into another gear on both ends of the court. And not just jack up more and more ill advised 3's.
Hopefully JB remembers the Grizzlies game from last year. Smith knew less about the team then than he does now, and still managed to have a huge impact on the game with out practicing with the team etc. If Smith is given minutes and does contribute, let it ride. If not, no harm done. Not like we've been getting amazing production from our 4's this season.
