1. It's not like he ever said in this thread that he's sourcing his information from super-secret and exclusive sources

and

2. Even if he's finding his information from other places, quite happy that he's bringing breaking news to our attention before it's common knowledge. That is much more valuable to this thread than littering it with whatever you're doing

As a side note - I'm disappointed in the Smith acquisition. Makes it more unlikely that Markieff will be traded to Houston - and he would've improved the team a LOT more than Smith.

We can all remember the game 6 against the clippers, and the series against Dallas, but lets not forget, Smith has definitely cost the team some games as well, and will piss people off occasionally in his new stint.

This really begs the question....what was Morey after? If Morey is willing to showcase Lawson, it wasn't for Mayo and Vasquez. What did we want that we felt we had a chance to get?? (Please Middleton)

 

I've grown to trust Cyberx and when it comes to inside information he's one of the only people who do not speak in riddles. He has also proven himself time and time again. Negotiations are just that just because a deal isn't made does not mean Lawson wasn't being shopped.

My guess is Morey was trying to get MORE for Lawson than just expiring contracts, much like _holic mentioned. Bucks didn't go for it and Morey passed.

Morey is looking to "recoup" the "value" that he gave up for Lawson.

 

Speculation was that it included Vasquez/Mayo

 

Good. No reason to rush into a deal. Now with Smoove back in the fold, I'm sure Morey will give this group until the deadline to do something. If nothing changes, I could see Brewer or Ariza plus Jones or D-Mo getting shipped out on the deadline day..
