Rockets re-acquire Josh Smith in trade with Clippers

This makes us a legit contender

 

When I saw "Smith traded to Rockets" in my newsfeed, I thought my newsfeed was broken.

 

Great move by the Rockets. More defense, more flexibility in the frontcourt, and another playmaker. He makes this team far more dangerous if his head/heart is in it.

Besides, could we really get any worse with this move?

Smith definitely has his faults with bad shot selection and careless turnovers, but there's no denying he played a huge role in this team's success last season, especially in the playoffs. Bringing him back was a no-brainer. Thankfully the Clippers were willing to deal him here.

 

I want to see how he plays with the 2nd unit. I think he will probably stay in his same role off the bench. Maybe he and Ty can make it work well. He shold DEFINITELY help us in the rebounding and paint defense areas, cause TJones has been failing at that big time.

 

I hate this trade. We're already a low iq basketball team but now we might have to move to special kids class.

 

This will help us immensely. Put a guy with J's talent in the right system, with his brother, along with our run last year=AWESOME.

I'm thrilled. I'm just glad it went through when i heard it about a week ago. I am just not allowed to write things as specific as I'd like, due to my job and, well, my health insurance. I need that poison for El Cancer.

 

I want him in the starting lineup with dwight when he returns.

We need the spacing and passing of smith, not to mention Capela has been very very bad for a couple weeks now.

I don't think some of us realize how much this is going to help harden out. We can now run our bread and butter play from last season of smith setting the pick up at the top of the key and harden using it and taking it to the hole or slipping the pocket pass to smith who can take it to the hoop hit the pass to the corner three or lob to dwight.

 

Harden has no more excuses now.
