I mean lets think about can you imagine Durant, Horford, Batum or even a young player like Bazemore wanting to play alongside Harden? It's no secret the guy doesn't put 100% effort every night. There's some games he mentally checks out and his defense is what it is. Harden could be a star repellant. kind of like Melo in that sense. He's a wizard on offense but even with his high turnover ratio it makes his assist not all that great.

True but think about a young guy like Bazemore. It's no secret Ariza has become a bench guy. He's lost a step and that's ok. Nobody has beaten Father Time. But a young guy like Bazemore who can spot up shoot he can get to the basket a little do you think he wants to play next to Harden knowing Hardens tendencies?

It's January, free agency is in July. Honestly, don't listen to their words so closely right now. It's all speculative, we know nothing right now.

As for attaining Conley, I don't know how he fits here. Any PG who is playmaking based will struggle here. If you have to be an exceptional shooter to still thrive.

It's a legitimate concern. Unfortunately, we don't know how close players are to one another. I really think having Harden makes us think we can actually reach out these players with more confidence. I think that's what Morey thinks, I'm not so sure. But then again, no one here is among player's circles, etc. It's also a lot of agent wooing.

I think the biggest recruitment pitch we have is getting an established, reputable, attractive head coach.

Well we all had already noticed it but these national TV games is just showing everyone else. And the truth of the matter is these players know eachother game. If we can see it on Tv they're actually sharing the court with the guy. Not having a tough coach when he got here got him into bad habits and now it's gonna be hard to break those bad habits.

Listen, you can shoot 40% in the season prior wherever you were. You can be young, you can be athletic, you can be a guy who put up 40%+ 3pt shooting, have a ring, be offered well above MLE, just play for a team that reached new heights but as soon as you are suckered into this Rocket's style of play it'll bog you down. Your best strengths are going to be covered, and your weaknesses will be exposed.

    Ask Ariza.

In Washington, he was getting open shots. All of that "analysis" we down via SQL & Python up in Toyota Center derives off of that. You try to emulate that in our offense and it's all contested shots. Before someone says well we only shoot this % of contested shots, do you know how the criteria behind a contested shot? If you don't look it up, it's weak. Truth is we are heavily contested on our shots, and unfortunately don't contest a lot of our opponents shots.

Anyone that comes here better know it's a free flowing offense with the captain bogging it down. The 2nd option also has unreasonable demands inside, but is a workhorse when healthy.

I a completely agree with the last part! I think Harden could net us a damn good coach and hopefully that coach could net us some FA bc I just don't see Harden doing that. He sorta seems like the IDGAF type guy lol

This is true! There's no way JB is the coach next season right? You have to think whoever comes in will implement some sort of structured offense right? It seems like Harden works best in a free flowing offense cuz he can do whatever the hell he wants but is that what wins? This team has so many question marks it sucks lol

Bazemore is a roleplayer. Roleplayers join teams who pay them the most 99% of the time. When they have equal offers from more than one team the next criterion is usually role and playing time. Don't worry for a second about players like Bazemore.

Stars on the other hand that's another story.

kyler should be considered very highly concerning anything he says about ORL. He does get stuff that leaks from that organization. Doesn't mean that the leaks are even true. Because these front offices (including our own dear Morey) leak stuff that isn't true all the time, intentionally, to throw off the blood hounds and to get their phone to ring. The insider trade rumors game is just that. It's a huge game. You have to inspect every rumor and a lot of time you have to make a determination whether it's possibly true or whether it's ficitionalized and by whom it's fictionalized.

The vast majority of fictionalized rumors are started in NBA front offices, locker rooms, and player agents offices by NBA GMs, players, and players agents. Yes, some of them start with reporters and other alleged insiders making up crap and seeing what happens with it. But most rumors originate within the NBA itself. Either a GM or a player or an agent has a motive to put something out there. Occasionally a reporter will just make something up and throw it out there. But not nearly as often as the GMs, players, and agents do.

From there the info is twisted, turned, and dissected a million different ways by the rest of us.

I appreciate very much what cyberx brings us. I know he's giving us JUST A LITTLE BIT of what he hears. It's just a little bit because there is no way he can afford to lay out too much info without it being tracked back to his sources and him getting cut off.

When we get a post like this from cyberx we should consider all other possibilities. Such as....are there other teams Lawson was being showcased for too, but cyberx couldn't say or perhaps he wasn't told????? (Yes, there was.) But cyber did make it clear that we were showcasing him to Milwaukee. What we can pretty much take out of that is there is a deal that can be made with Milwaukee for Lawson. So, at least we know there's a market and we know some of the pieces we can get back for him. Now, we can "speculate" on some of the other possibilities to go along with this market for Lawson. What other deals can be folded into this deal to get us a greater aggregate return?

Teams we should be thinking about in regards to Lawson along with Milwaukee:

    1. Phoenix - lottery team with the Markieff problem. They're going to make moves. Can we find something to capitalize on here?

    2. Minnesota - another lottery team that wants to lose Kevin Martin (and Rubio for the right price) and pick up assets to stimulate their rebuild around KAT/Wiggins.

    3. Washington - same situation as us. underperforming badly and needing to shake it up while keeping cap space open for a possible run at Durant this summer.

    4. Brooklyn - no draft picks, lottery bound, needing to drop salary to increase cap space for this summer while simultaneously getting some young talent for the future.

    5. Chicago - organization going downhill, front office trying to pull up but they haven't been wise and don't have the ability to pull this team out. (primed to be pillaged in my opinion)

    6. Sacramento - volatile, combustible situation that could ripen up shortly

    7. Charlotte/Boston - both teams struggling to get into playoffs

    8. Miami - trying desperately to get out of the luxury tax while getting a little better

    =====================

These are teams that could use some of what we got and could possibly give us some of what we need.

I agree with you about the rumours. But that's why someone (a fan) should have filters on and listen to people who when they put something out it's not speculation or fake. I will definitely though pay more attention to Kyler Orlando rumours from now on after your info. Other than that it's basically noise.

All I can say about the Bucks is that Kidd the GM seem to have panicked and have an early return from surgery because his assistant has been doing a better job than him. Our own insider hasn't said a word. (he comes from the Knicks office).
That's all. And the early return also seem to signify a real belief the team can make the playoffs adn so this Lawson showcase explains itself.

All the bucks fans are vehemently against this as am I. Didn't see even one who thinks it's a good idea. Hope it doesn't happen.

They should hold on to ty

Ty/harden/ariza/smith/Howard is probably the best starting 5 on paper and to nice to give up on the Lawson affect.

Ty/thorton/Brewer/smith/Capella is probably the best bench on paper also

    .
Ennis is not used at all except in garbage time so about 1 minute every other week.
MCW is not the main playmaker anymore now that Kidd is gone. He's more like a ballhandler wing who cuts to the basket and plays good defence. That's why his turnovers have gone down. The team seem to not trust him anymore as a franchise cornerstone.

As for the knowledgable Bucks fans they have been screaming for ever since the trade happened that MCW does not fit and can't wait to see him go. Or be used in a Shaun Livingston role off the bench. But the team won't trade him for scraps. That's for sure.
