So. I log on and see a couple new pages and read through them for all this bickering.

Frankly I don't care where Cyber gets his info. I like coming to one place and reading it. Why are we making such a big deal about it?

 

I'm at a desk now, so my replies are a little better worded and proper. If you guys have checked the news, the east coast is getting wrecked.

 

Just cite the source, that's all. Don't take credit(like BBS god status) for something that's not yours.

In general I would agree unless it compromises your professional position. As for this thread I didn't really see Cyber flaunting some sort of god complex. Perhaps readers treat his posts as such because they are hungry for information. Either way I am curious as to why this has lit your fire to the degree it has.

I don't give two craps if someone wants to pretend to be an insider, or for the folks who spend time trying to call them out.....who cares...it is a BBS -nothing here can be taken as gospel - it is a FANSITE...a great one, but still a FANSITE....outside of Clutch (who is an insider) - the rest is noise....and fun to read.

Well something we can all agree on is that the Rockets suck! quick question for the board. After hearing Barkleys comments about not wanting to play with Harden because itd be boring watching him dribble for 22 seconds (yes he's an idiot but hear me out here) do you think FA are lining up to play with Harden? For example if you're Mike Conley and Morey is interested in you the first thing you're gonna think is well I won't have the ball much in my hands and I'll have to make up for his defensive lapses. Doesn't sound like somewhere most Players would want to be.

I know kyler. steve kyler is a good guy. He loves basketball. And he is knowledgeable. He is a speculator. Yes. And he does speculate a lot. And most of the time speculators are wrong. And he does like to argue his point. And he's wrong a lot of the time. But, Kyler does know some things. You have to know him and understand his perspective. He's worth some consideration on some things (ORL related especially).

 

I agree with DraftBoy. I have always questioned Cyber. To me he hasn't broken anything that I've not already read elsewhere. The other few stuff cited as sources is kind of common knowledge if you follow the NBA but it has never panned out...

But at this point, meh whatever...

I don't care how he got his job or what his credentials used to be. I have seen his work NOW for myself and it's incredible. He's meticulous in cataloguing every player's salary and their caphold and their capspace and keeps updating throughout the season. He's a great source of information.
Plus he has been directly now a Lakers beat writer who gets to interview players and coaches. He's no insider or "insider" he's a bball journalist.




To get back on topic there's nothing official whatsoever about if Mayo has travelled yesterday to Houston with the team. I even asked myself one beat writer but got no answer yet.

 

Sadly I think this may have some validity to it. If you are a professional, do you want to stand there holding your pud only to catch the ball with 3 seconds left and hoist a prayer? How satisfying is that as a pro?

Doesn't make him more credible. As you said his sources and his info are 99% of the time pure speculation. Anyone who buys what Kyler speculates as legit insider info...well I don't have to repeat what I said to the one trolling this thread.

 

Harden has to be careful with this reputation or he's going to find himself in Kobe's situation

Conley has already said to Windhorst that would be almost impossible for him to leave Memphis and specifically Gasol. He said it a couple of weeks ago or so , so it was after Memphis has been dissapointing. Most likely he will immediately resign with Memphis before Morrey gets to even pitch him to join the Rockets. For a max.

 

Honestly, I've been worried about this as well, especially if decides to leave. Seeing Harden this year, I'm not sure what good FA would want to come here, and plus we don't have the recruiter Kevin Mchale.
