Sources: Ty Lawson is being showcased for the Bucks tonight

Again, that wasn't an attempt to substantively debate the strategy itself. I'm simply repeating what JB said from his own mouth -- and to me, it looks pretty bad for the head coach to employ an arguably unorthodox strategy like that out of halftime, then come out after the game and (1) say he feels like it didn't work, (2) express -- at least according to the beat writers -- that he did not like the strategy, and (3) share that it was done at the direction (or suggestion, if the term makes a difference) of the front office. I might feel differently if there wasn't already the nagging perception that Morey's ideal coach is one who will act as a puppet.

And sure, there are endless maybes and ifs. To me, the whole thing was just not a good look. Your mileage may vary.

If I was on my laptop I would search thru cybers posts and post plenty of proof for you. Alas I can't do all that on my phone but Cyber has easily and repeatedly proved Legit.

I know you seek to be better than thou and what not but your just coming off as a hater. I'm a huge skeptic so I can understand the desire to doubt. But there is plenty of evidence to vindicate cyber.

I mean, if the Bucks trade doesn't happen, it doesn't invalidate him at all. It just means the deal fell apart. Geez people.

 

Keep starting him. For trade value, or just value for the Rockets. We need to get a better look at Lawson now that he is back to normal.

As for the trade, it's garbage. "Ty Lawson's value is 0" - what? He's already served all the suspensions so there's nothing hanging over his head. As for his play - it's plain for anyone to see that he is still the same Ty Lawson. The problem is he's paired with a SG who thinks he's a PG and plays for a team with no real system. There's no reason to dump Lawson for 3rd rate scrubs.

Keep Lawson, hell, pick up his option next year, and just get REAL DAMN COACH.

 

I'm with him on that. Cyberx is a cool member to have on the boards. Knows inside stuff. Even if it happens or doesn't, its awesome that he is giving us some ground info.

Let's go through them one by one.

I spoke up this time cause the last few I read on hoopshype.com before he posted. Including the jj/bogan one.

He may have had an in before, but recently he's been putting out the same rumors that came from an aggregate site.

Bball insiders= steve kyler. Whoever believes in him or hoophype the site that gathers junk like his are the opposite of any kind dominant iq ppl lmao. Not even worth spending more time on this.

Kyler is embedded with Orlando and their front office indirectly. He doesn't know much of anything about the rest of the teams but he does know Orlando and does have an inside track with the Orlando organization. Most all of his stuff comes from that one relationship and it is very jaded/tainted/polluted as applied to other teams. But he does hear stuff when it is out there.

It really hasn't been a secret for a while now that we're looking to move Lawson to a better situation for him and us. That stuff gets out when you are trying to move a guy and you're talking to practically every team in the league about trading him. Which is what has happened with Lawson. The decision was made weeks ago that Lawson needed to be moved. His team and Morey have both been trying to make it happen. Some of what Kyler heard on this was legit because there was so much trade talk going on. When that happens all the teams talk to each other and compare notes and you can't stop the leaks. So essentially what happened was stuff was leaked from Orlando to Kyler concerning Lawson and the Bucks. Kyler then wrote about it. And when he wrote, it was already known for the most part.

Kyler is actually a nice guy. He thinks he knows more than he does. But he's a nice guy and he loves basketball. So, he can't be all bad. As is Eric Pincus, another prominent team member on Basketball Insiders who is a nice guy with a Lakers/Clippers bent but who is knowledgeable as well.

Right now, I'm using Pincus' team salary cap data on basketballinsiders.com instead of Deeks. Don't know what is going on with Deeks but his salary stuff is no longer up on the site. So, frankly I'm thankful basketballinsiders is out there doing their thing. Their team salary cap pages are very good, not only including the salaries but also the cap state of the team, future cap holds of pending free agents, and even what exceptions are available in player acquisitions.
