Fortunately, I've seen a lot of basketball and that was just tmacin amazin Ironically KJ's contribution was one JB's greatest strategies we have seen. Not sure if this is a good thing tho
Embarrassing -- and as I said in the game thread, I genuinely feel sorry for the kid. Anybody remember how his mom used to go nuts in Philly when he wasn't getting quality PT? I can only imagine how pissed she must have been tonight.
The strategy worked great in the 3rd quarter... not so much in the 4th, though. Truth is, it doesn't really matter what gimmicks JB throws out there, unless the team learns how to play defense together, they are never going to make it out of the 1st round (assuming that they even make the playoffs). I do feel bad for KJ; to be of no use other than the teams designated fouler? Man, what a kick in the nuts. I hope he gets traded somewhere when he can play - although we'll then be able to look forward to (not really) having him torch Houston everytime he plays us as we wonder "why did we ever trade this guy?!"
What a joke this was. Basically admitted that they can't play defense when they came out of the half to do that. I wonder what was the halftime speech? "Hey guys...we're F'ed...."
Maybe JBB b smart. If you want to make a mockery of the rule, so it's changed, this is the way to do it. And it's in our best interest for a rule change.
I think its more a mockery of the team's bad defense. Slight backhand at his own team saying toure not respecting the game with bad d so will make an example by resorting to gimmicks
This is the most embarrassing team that the rockets have churned out. 06' with swift and company was bad too..but this...smh.
The fact that this foul loophole still hasn't been corrected by the league is beyond even a discussion on the merits. It's embarrassing
Hmm instead of making Kj use up five fouls in 9 seconds how about JB plays him to defend Caldwell pope, since no once can seem to guard the three point line?
I hate the intentional foul a ton. It's boring, doesn't show any skill, and isn't really basketball. But its in the rules and GOOD teams use it against us all the time. Has anyone here ever heard of a team called the Spurs? It seems like they do this to us every game. The media doesn't give a **** when they do it, so why are they complaining now? The NBA needs to change the rule so it will stop being used.
I don't like it when teams deploy it against us. But I hate it even more when we deploy it. And last night we took it to such an extreme I can't defend it in any way. I don't care if the Spurs deploy it. And when teams deploy it against us, we better not complain about it. We lost that last night. heck... I hope the next team starts the game by suiting up a ball boy and fouling Howard, Capella, Jones. And then point to JBB.
Looks like somebody is "disrespecting the game." Even worse, his own promising young player. This season is a f***ing nightmare.
