I dont know how the GM thing works, but Morey would still do it 10/10 times. When you are a star caliber type of player, everyone has to sacrifice for the better-ment of the team. Ty Lawson NOT working with the Rockets has to do with Harden and the coaches... I wanted to see a more efficient and a true shooting guard in James Harden. Rather, I have seen Harden evolve into Carmelo Anthony part deux...

Here is how it works :

    - your team win (improve), you got paid.

    - your team sucks, you lose your job (eventually).

    Simple as that.

Ask yourself this question first. Did your best play come back better? Then answer who actually came back better? If the answer to those is what it really is then that's not on morey.

Congrats to Harden's recent career achievements...

    10,000 pts -- 1,000 3PM

    - 6th fastest player to 1,000 3PM
    - Youngest player to 1,000 3PM

You still have hope. Team had expectations after last season. It's frustrating watching everything unfold game after game.

Frustrating season... .500 record after 44 games.. 22-22

They have lousy individual defenders(Harden, Jones, Lawson), aging good defenders(Dwight, Ariza), a 21 year-old almost rookie(Capela), overrated defenders(Brewer, Beverley), and a guy who's 2 years older than the head coach(Terry). Couple that with their joke of a defensive gameplan which involves switching all the time even when no hard pick is set and constantly gambling for steals and it's not a shock that they're p-ss poor at that end of the floor.

I do think a respectable head coach who knows what the hell he's doing would get better results. JVG even got Steve Francis to play defense the one year he coached him. But since we're stuck with JB and the rest of this staff til the end of the year, don't expect any improvement til next season.

I have to say Harden was playing great this game. Give him some credits!

If he can keep playing like this, I still vote him as MVP and All Star like before.

    Please keep the momentum!!!

Pretty clear he is not in Houston's plans in the slightest bit, but I hope he finds a good spot on his next deal. I'm rooting for him.

So odd that we made him a priority and J smoove this past offseason. It just makes no sense.

    I think the opposite....
    He is the insurance plan.
Brewer is the backup wing in the 'keep the team together and contend' frame of mind. If that doesnt work (looks like it failed), or in case of injury, break glass and release KJ.
Very cheap contract for a talented player, ditch Brewer and we can splash in free agency with a 'system' wing waiting (in the wings....). Will not be surprised to see Brewer gone and KJ playing soon.

If Harden was playing no effort at all, he should be criticized as a leader.

If he was playing tough like a man, no matter what numbers he put, he deserves some credits.

Rockets won these games last year without Dwight because they had a DMo. Not this year...

"Harden's big game made him the first player to have at least 33 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists in a game since Chamberlain had 53 points, 32 rebounds and 14 assists for Philadelphia against the Lakers on March 18, 1968, according to statistics provided by the Rockets from the Elias Sports Bureau."
