Another wasted year, team sucks, but hey atleast its better than k.martin team which would always end up short in 9th place and a 14 pick. I just think this team lacks players who can create shots and play defense off the bench. But who cares, this team is what it is..... mediocre.
thought it was time to give this thread a bump. 22-22 on January 20th? At least we're still sitting at 7th seed . . . so stay calm. It's all gonna be alright.
We not bad enough to be a lottery team just purely on talent...AND we arent good enough to be a mid tier team. We've essentially become last year's Dallas Mavericks....WITH essentially the same team.
So we would probably play the Spurs. After we beat them, we play and beat OKC. Then we play and beat the Warriors. Finally, we then defeat the Cavs in the finals for the championship. Can't wait.
relax guys, its just the 44th game of the season. rockets will win some games then turn it around. i can feel it..in my ass..i can feel these words coming out of my ass. oh wait, those aren't words, THATS DIARRHEA! NOOOOOOOOOOO
Harden sabotaging our record to knock Stephanie's b**** ass out in the first round and show him who da real MVP is
Same typical terrible kneejerk fans! Its just one game, the rockets will bounce back and win the next one. All these terrible fans that get angry when we lose a game. Don't we always win at least one in the next 3 after a situation like this? Gotta stay positive. Smh at our terrible fans.
Not a jinx thread. The Rockets are what they are. A mediocre basketball club. Unless Morey and Les blow up the roster in order to start rebuilding for next season and beyond, they'll limp into the playoffs as a lower seed(probably 7th) and promptly get their asses kicked by the Spurs or Warriors. It's bizarre BTW that the last time the Rockets made it to the WCF in 1997, the following season they were a .500 team(after winning 57 games the year before), fell to the 8th seed, and lost in the first round. Fast forward to now. The Rockets made it to the WCF last season and are now a .500 team, have fallen to the 7th seed, and look like a sure bet to lose in the first round. Although at least that 1998 bunch could point to age and injuries for their steep decline.

While the 5th seed and a match up with the Clips seems like our best shot at advancing one round, I wouldn't mind the 6th seed and a series with OKC. If we do manage to beat them, that would give us a leg up on the long-shot Durant recruiting effort. Plus we would get the Spurs in the second round instead of GS, which is a better match up for us.
end-of-the-month-thread-bump At least we don't play any contenders in February, March, and April. So everyone just CALM DOWN, we're still sitting at 7th seed.
Tough schedule and who knows, we might have to fight for that 8th seed and get lucky at the end with the last 5 games. I prefer 6th seed vs. OKC
Hmmmm.... seems like I've heard something like this before: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=270013 I hate to say it guys, but it looks like
