LOL, unquestionably. To me Will Smith isn't a very good actor in the sense that I don't think he has much range. I look at him the same way as I see someone like John Wayne, they sort of play a version of themselves in everything they do and depending on your taste, it can be super likable and entertaining.....but not the best acting if you get what I mean. Bruce Willis sort of has the same thing going on. Actors like that put butts in seats and that gets reflected in how much they get paid, but they usually don't get much love when it comes to the awards. Hell Bruce Willis has never even been nominated for an Oscar.
I agree, Will Smith isn't a top flight actor, but when it comes to selling tickets he is certainly 'A-list' He has had some good performances, I liked Seven Pounds a lot more than most people did I think.
As far as the new trailer I'm really liking this Joker surprisingly. Look like Leto will do a good job. As a whole movie seems a little campy but fun so I'm in. Might watch it in theaters after all
Looks more promising than Batman Vs Superman IMO. I actually like that Leto's Joker is different than previous Jokers and something something Margot Robbie .
Most of DC's animated movies kick-ass. Waaaay better than the Marvel animated movies. If they can bring that quality or better to their live action movies, I'm in.
I think he's done well in comedy, drama, & action. Still think of him as an odd choice for Deadshot though. I think they would have been better off with a less known actor as this does not need Will Smith's star power to sell.
Because they were also bad guys saving the world? I like the Suicide Squad in Arrow, so that has me interested by default. Leto looks great as Joker (Seems everyone does so great in that role despite different takes that make the character their own). And Harley Quinn looks like the sexiest thing ever. I'd go bad for her in a heartbeat. Spoiler
Have you ever acted or studied acting? Method acting and character acting are not everyone.... Smith is an actor who did tons of blockbusters, and a leading man that folks love because he is so charismatic, charming and smart. As he grows older, it is natural for him to strive for wider range. It is not meant to be... if he can nail down a couple of characters that should be regarded as 'success'. Usually people that have not been leading guys tend to have a better way of nailing those small, interesting characters. If you do not like his acting, that is fine, but just your opinion. Personally I think he is great at what he does. I think the people that watched him over the years just got disinterested and wanted somebody different.
Did you actually read what I wrote? Some of the other actors I listed "did tons of blockbusters" and could have been called a "leading man that folks love because he is so charismatic, charming and smart."
Nah I'm not, I don't read DC comics at all. With that said I'm quite excited for Batman Vs Superman (cus why not?), and this just looks awesome.
That is why I said it is your opinion. He is transforming and you can't predict that he can't. It is a hard job for him to do. He is still a good actor. It might be just me but you can disagree, I did not say you could not. I am not playing the Will Smith Only fan here because he isn't among my favs but I still respect him and his pursuit in his craft. Way to overreact and starting to call everyone a kiddo.
He's not an actor (perquisite: talent), he's a movie star (perquisite: charismatic, charming and smart) who until recently was a very bankable. His unchecked ego fooled him into thinking he could really act. You don't see Bruce Willis/Jason Stratham/The Rock putting on faux accents for Oscar bait jibberish. Those guys stay in their lane.
