Besides if we keep Vrabel it won't be for very long. He'll be a head coach in a year or two. RAC will likely not be offered another head coach gig.

All depends on how long RAC wants to coach and also if he still has aspiration to be a head coach some where
RAC is going into the last season of his contract. In theory they could tell Vrabel, 'hey, after this year we'll strongly consider you for the DC job if he and us part ways' ... but I can't see them promising him the gig unless they already know or having a strong feeling that RAC will retire. He's already failed as a HC in two stops so can't imagine he'll get another shot at 67/68. Maybe we can at least give Vrabel a nice raise to persuade him to stay?
Congrats, Mike Vrabel. Good luck with your new job. If the Texans defense falls apart next year, we will know it was Vrabel not Crennel, getting the results. My money is on Crennel.
