But it's true: When refs let big men play big, then Howard is dominant.

It's the same damn s**t we saw with Yao. If they reffed Yao like they reffed Shaq, Yao would have been even more unstoppable.

Today's NBA is even more skewed against the big man. It favors teams like Warriors where you can have Draymond Green flopping at every opportunity in the paint on defense, and then running down the other side of the court to slide in 2-3 illegal screens per possession.

Let me get back to some relevance. For tonight it's Howard vs Drummond. Just like in Howard's monster 36-26 game it was Howard vs Deandre Jordan. So HOPEFULLY these refs will let the bigs be big. I'm sick of it. I hate how Howard is penalized for being bigger and stronger than his opponent. Some naysayers here say it's all Howard being a bonehead, and yes Howard can sometimes be a bonehead. But so many of his ticky tacky fouls are from an All-Star veteran big just playing the big man game, and the opponent exploiting the ***** out of the current way the NBA refs the game. Well to hell with the current way the NBA refs the game. I'm from Houston. I enjoy watching dominant centers. I grew up watch Hakeem, The Admiral, big butts like Barkley and Malone, Ewing, Mourning, Shaq, Deke... Watching bigs battle in the paint to me is more exciting than some twig-armed girl Curry dance around from the benefit of a million illegal screens chewing his mouth guard.

LET 'EM PLAY REF! Let the bigs be bigs.

If the refs free Howard, then we have a chance. Go Rockets. OK I'm done.

 

One team plays hard and has a coach that demands it, the other does not....hmmm I wonder which team will win?

You can't start Thornton, I Like the guy too, but he is a massive chucker - if he was slightly less of one I would be all for it...but he is looking to shoot every time he touches the ball.

Maybe if he would start he would be less of one......Oh hell screw it..start him.

Even if JBB was fired it wouldn't count as that, because he's an interim head coach. It would be just like firing head coach McHale and his assistant JBB, just not at the same time.

man i hope so, he needs to shoot more and get dwight involved. if harden starts turning the ball over, bring in thornton.

Welp, there goes your problem.

This team thinks they can just flip the switch and beat anyone. JB just confirmed it.

Guess they are going to learn the hard way when they are 7th seed and facing the Warriors and Spurs that you can't do that. That usually the championship comes to a team that is top 5 in overall record.
