It was announced on television news. Can't really link that, but there's yet to be "official" confirmation I guess, so wait and see.
If true and I have my doubts, it's time to move on from Dmo. I like the guy but no time in waiting around hoping he returns to the player he was last year. We need a serious upgrade at PF. I like Capela but him starting at PF is becoming very frustrating to watch. The guy misses so many easy layups and dunks and its killing us. Jones he's just a bech player who had it some nights and doesn't others, I don't get the constants ragging if the guy he's not great but as a spark plug big off the bench we could do worse I guess. Dmo was supposed to be the starter and day by day it's looking like that is not going to Happen. If the rockets are serious about making any kind of run this second half of the season and into the playoffs were going to have to find a competant PF. Capela and jones is not going to cut it there backups and Capela is a center anyways. I'm not a huge fan but the Morris trade might need to be worked out asap. He's been playing pretty well as of late and would help a lot in terms of the spacing on the court for our guards to pentetrate.
Yeah....I don't really trust Lithuanian news, pretty much everything they come out with ends up being wrong.
I think he got injured last night, not sure how serious. I'm not wild about him, but I think it's funny (read: laugh to keep from crying funny) how the Rockets' purported targets keep going down one by one. First Jarrett, then Noah -- when they said Markieff wouldn't return last night, I just changed the channel. Throw this season in the trash.
Well kind of over exaggeration, but yeah I could see how it looks that way. I am hoping it's false information too.
Not really. I've lost all interest in basketball during the years, DMo was the only reason I kept watching NBA. I even stopped watching local basketball in my country that I used to adore. Not like this, Donatas, not like this... Even though the scenario looks almost the same as the first time. First he was out out of nowhere, then there were talks he might return in playoffs, then 8 months without basketball. Now everything was somewhat fine minus 6 minutes a game, then he goes out, now there are talks he might be back rather sooner than later and the Lithuanian news say he has same injury as last year... De javu.
This doesn't look like anything new. Looks like they are catching up and printing what we already know. It's says Donatas Motiejunas is too soft.... Of course, an accurate translation would be nice. http://sportas.lrytas.lt/krepsinis/siaubas-kartojasi-d-motiejunui-uzspaustas-nugaros-nervas.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Title: Horror repeats D. MOTIEJŪNAS - too soft and spinal nerve As reported by LNK TV news, 25 years 213 cm tall Houston Rockets forward can not not only play, but also to train with the team. Announced that the basketball player is too soft and spinal nerve. Lithuanian has an individual sport and it was unclear when he will return to a normal rhythm. .... Recently, the Lithuanian basketball shield themselves silence, does not give any comments and Houston Rockets club. Even in early January, Houston coach JB Bickerstaff has revealed that Lithuania's return to the court is not planned. Not exactly clear whether D.Motiejūno back pain - such as what he felt last season. In April, he was carried back surgery. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many times have you watched the movie The Matrix lol? You don't know if the news from Lithuania is true so don't jump the gun for christs sakes.
He HAD a pinched nerve, and that's what he had surgery for. There's nothing to suggest that he has that problem again....unless of course Morey was lying when he said that there was nothing structurally wrong with DMo. The original problem was a slightly herniated disc in his back that was putting pressure on a nerve, the performed a microdiscectomy to fix that problem and ever since then he's been trying to rebuild the core muscles in his back affected by the surgery. Even though a microdiscectomy is a relatively minor back surgery, the rehab can be a b**** if you are a professional athlete. A normal person rehabs fairly quickly. If he has the same problem again or still, then they had to be lying as of last week. I just don't trust some Lithuanian news outlet to have a scoop like that.
Yeah I know what you're saying, it was as suspicious to me too. Partially, because I don't want to believe it. But it would make sense if it wasn't true. Anyway, I am just reporting what I've heard.
Lithuania media show no love for DMo, not like cluthfans. For example they called him two weeks ago .. "Frankenstein of a lead foot"
It just looks like an update article to me, repeating what has been reported by the Rockets. If you can translate the entire article, please do. http://sportas.lrytas.lt/krepsinis/siaubas-kartojasi-d-motiejunui-uzspaustas-nugaros-nervas.htm
Well we see who Dmo biggest fans. Dude said he's done watching the NBA if this news is true. Wow I see why you're putting everybody that doesn't share your love on the ignore list. I surely hope this isn't true. Dmo has a lot of potential and he has worked hard to get to this stage. I will be praying for the young man.
