As many posters have pointed out, going to strip clubs doesn't make you a bad basketball player. Case in point: James Harden, 2014-15.

However, there's a significant probability that when you're routinely playing without discipline, and you're going to strip clubs all the time, including at 3:45 a.m. Houston time, these two things are symptoms of a common cause.

It would be great for Harden's career if he developed stronger character and maturity before his athleticism declines. Will he do it? Can he? None of us knows. The only thing that's certain is that nobody else can do it for him.

16 pages on this. Wow.

Look, this does not look good for him as an NBA player/ "superstar", nor for his sponsors so to speak.

It may be why he played like crap last nite cuz he went clubbing throughout the whole LA trip.

This sucks. However, I get the whole allure of strip clubs for men in their twenties---- factor that in with his vip treatment, 2-3 grand budget or more, bodyguards, driver etc it makes soooo easy to get T&A thrills.

I would hope he would tone it down some for the betterment of his level of play and public persona.

    Repped....

This is what scares me so much about making him the franchise player...

Right now with his actions the way they are, he's going to ruin this organization... I truly hope he can change and grow up... Right now I just don't see that happening...

Corey Brewer and Josh Smith played great for one quarter while Harden was sick, we needed to win 4 games. Here's the lesson. Where is Josh Smith? and What is Corey Brewer doing now? Who carried us to a second seed and had us winning before Brewer and Smith even got to Houston. But lets just throw Harden out with the trash because he "seems" disinterested. Sorriest fans on the internet.

Thought you were a Francis fan, care to change your name to Harden's back?

Both love to dribble dribble dribble down the shotclock for sure.

I can only be a fan of one Rockets at a time? I also defended Dwight maybe I should have changed my name when I did that too. Do you walk at night? if so boy you should really change your name to night walker or maybe street walker cuz you do both hahaha. I'll just call you streetwalker from now on. :)

Wow, Harden made the WCF. Congratulations.

Can't wait for 2018 when Harden leaves us after 3 straight first round exits again. But 2015 doe. That was a good year, right? WCF, wow. Who cares about 2013-2014 and the probable 2016-2018 first round exits.

Mcgrady, who I'm not even a huge fan of, only had 3 playoff experiences with us. One of which Yao Ming didn't even play in after it was clear he was our best player after macs first season with us. He definitely has his faults, but im not going to blindly use his playoff failures against him when he was playing on a ****ty Rockets team. Wasnt until Morey came along that the Rockets actually built a championship contending team, and by that time he was already broken goods that wasnt worth crap to anyone on the planet. Thank God for Daryl. Our most important piece.

I understand people are upset that posters on this board still proclaim Mcgrady as a great. He's not, but what gets me irritated is those people who dislike McGrady defend James Harden. Absolutely disgusting. James is heading to the same path which is a perennial loser. The Tracy Mcgrady, Carmelo Anthony, Joe Johnson mode. Yet people defend Harden cause he made the WCF. Yeah, so did Melo and we all know that he's a very talented loser. Congrats to the Knicks.

Playoff success vastly over rates a player sometimes such as Allen Iverson. Playoff failure also vastly under rates a player such as Chris Paul. People think Bill Russell is the greatest center of all time cause of his 11 rings. He couldn't hold Dream's jockstrap with his stupid ass 8 team league.

I'm not hoping for James to be a perennial loser, but I'm also not a blind optimistic that uses the past as a measure to the future. I'm looking at the team right now. The Rockets right now. People who watched the Rockets since the 70s or 80s are watching this team. They say they never watched a team they hated more. Unless Morey blows it up we are stuck with this team for a good while. There's no reason to believe they will turn it around other than hope. It's the truth.

With that said I'm upset James isn't in the gym or in bed after a loss, but he did the same thing last season. Only thing that is different is the record. The problem starts with James, but the problem isn't James. Rockeys will either figure it out or they won't, but comparing him to McGrady doesn't do anything but remind me how much I miss Yao Ming who was a real winner.

    The story is a nonstory.

You do realize Harden won't be the only superstar we have right. The idea is to get more. We can't just start giving away superstars because they go to strip clubs, lol.

So sad that you are right on this. But Harden might mature after he leaves the Rockets. I don't see superstars coming to H-town to play with him to get a ring. Dwight thought that might work, but look at this season.

Hope Harden has an awakening this week and turns it around. If not, he is a coach killer, and we loose interest in both free agents and really good coaches.

He really needs to mature and no one knows when or if that will happen.

Dallas is about to make the stupidest move in their history by getting that guy and i can't wait to laugh at all these idiots up here...

That guy is not going to change... some guys get it and a lot of guys don't... they feel as if their untouchable and the organization needs them.
