Who ****ing cares who they are in real life? I'm really tired of people making accusations like "you don't play basketball" what does playing basketball have to do with anything? Round mound of rebound is regarded as one of the best PFs and he is straight up dumb.Just because you played doesn't mean you understand what was going on, as if being able to dunk makes you smarter smh. This board will be a better community if people actually focus on making salient points instead of making personal attacks.
There seems to be alot of rudeness and bickering so I will try to be as polite as possible but you just completely ignored some main points to make yours. Your first point is pointless because not only are they not all healthy, we knew that coming into the season. The second best player from your "5" is trying to come back from a back injury and the best player Dwight, we knew would have a lot of restrictions. Also, we knew Harrell is a rookie, if he becomes a consistent rotation player (which he won't this season) great!, but you don't assume he will be. So again your 5 players is actually more like 3 at most so far this season. So I can't say we would have a better record with Smith but you can predict that we would for sure implode late season if we signed him. If we didn't have the number 2 seed last year we would not have gotten very far. Morey knows how important that is. We certainly have no issues not giving players playing time if we don't feel its warranted. No offense, but you saying signing Smith would be bad because we would have too many players complaining late season and will implode; that to me is a sh***y point. Make sure we have enough healthy players and the rest will figure itself out. We saw Smith take a bench role last year without complaining. Look. You can't argue that we are lacking in the frontcourt. DMOs injury has set him back big time, Dwight just started playing back-to-backs and I'm sure he'll continue to take games off the rest of the season, Harrell is a rookie and Jones and Capela have yet to prove they can stay consistent most of the season. My point was we needed another big man, and it is a very valid point. I would have liked to see Smith brought back to resolve this issue, you may disagree with that and its fine. Doesn't change the fact that our frontcourt has been lacking all season. Having 6 players that play in the frontcourt for a contender considering our best two have injuries and the others really lack experience is not bogus.
You can't make your arguments because they're not very strong so you just ramble on. I told you I would have liked him to keep Smith. If Morey thought that was bad then he should have picked up someone else, not worry about KJ. If you want to say Morey couldn't have predicted that then fine, but the way this season has played out so far it seems like my points are more valid than yours. Not saying I'm an oracle here, just saying you trying to laugh at people disagreeing with you as weak. Another great point to add: If Smith was completely useless, we wouldn't have made any offer to him. What was reported was that we just offered him a very low number. Again, reiterating my point because some posters try to twist words, we should have ignored KJ and not been so cheap with Smith. Honest question, were you one of those posters that thought KJ was going to get the full MLE?
Kind of funny how Smoove's main reason to leave HOU for LAC was his "defined role" in LAC...and now he's warming the bench in favor of Cole freakin Aldrich. Smoove would've averaged 25 mpg in HOU...man, i'd love to get him back, and let him take TJones' minutes.
Josh smiths ego did it to himself, he could of not gotten so butt hurt about not being the first priority in the offseason and would have been probably having a career year in Houston since DmO and tjones have been almost useless this year. I say we forget about that fool.
Mistakes were made on both sides unfortunately. But instead of griping or finger pointing, Morey needs to figure out a trade to re-acquire Smith, together they have crazy success, separately no one is happy.
Clippers aren't stupid. I would be totally shocked if they trade Smith to us or to anybody that was going to release him so he could sign here. I think they'll try to move Smoove to an EC playoff team that needs a big. Toronto and Indy come to mind.
Josh Smith must be kicking himself for leaving Houston. He was a great fit here, and with D-Mo hurt and T-Jones' inconsistencies, Smith would be getting a lot of playing time here and we would be a better team with him.
It's ok to be wrong. You thought we had a deep front court and this whole season has proved otherwise. Don't be in such denial that you're now going to pretend we want to follow the clippers' blueprint. Lawson was a very good starting point guard with Denver, not so much here. Different teams, different situations. We know what worked last year. I'm schooling you son
You said "crowded front court". Last night that meant Capela Jones and Harrell. But it was just unlucky that Dwight and Dmo weren't playing!......no that was expected to happen a lot this season.
love how you have to make yourself feel right lol doesn't matter much to me. Im sure you saw coming into the season all of what has transpired so far regarding houstons players. It's all the armchairs like you who come out after the fact when things happen and think they're "right".
