Look at that game again. That patriots game was over midway in the 3rd qt. Matt passed for a lot of garbage time yards. Score was like 30-10 end of third

Why would anybody believe anything coming out of the mouth of an owner, a GM, or a head coach right now in regards to the draft?

I would read that as: "We are 100% going to take a 1st round QB."

Yea, it's speculation; too premature to say if they are taking a QB high or not. Sorry.

I'm surprised more people here wouldn't at least entertain the (totally hypothetical) trade of Clowney for the titans #1 pick. I understand there is no Andrew Luck in this draft, but if you know who you want, why not guarantee getting him instead of hoping he falls to you?

If he turns out to be great for the next 10 years, no one is going to care that you reached for him with the #1 overall pick ten years ago.

I hope I'm wrong about Clowney, but I just can't see him ever living up to his pre-draft potential. I'd at least consider selling now before his value continues to drop.

Yeah, the defense gave up 30 in 3 quarters....that's pretty pathetic.

One of Schaub's biggest flops was MNF vs Ravens ('09, IIRC).

At home, we go down 28-0, then Matt "comes back", tying the score... (some posters have referred to this as garbage time).

Then throws another patented Pick-6, to shatter the crowd's hopes.

This was pre-injury. Matt has never been a big game QB. He doesn't handle pressure well, in many ways.

How much do you think it would cost for the Titans to give up #1 for #22? With or without Clowney, you're giving up high draft picks?

Trading Clowney right now would be foolish, but not nearly as foolish as making a division rival better by wasting a ton of picks and assets to move up to #1 to draft a Jake Locker or Teddy Bridgewater quality QB. It's actually a good sign that so few people here are willing to entertain the idea of a ridiculous trade like that.

    In the 4th round.

That'd be like us not taking one of the top QB's because we drafted Tom Savage.

Texans trade Clowney and their 1st round pick to Tennessee and select Hackenberg.

Wait would you not trade Clowney for Bridgewater now after what you've seen for 2 seasons??

Forums not ovverrun by ridiculous bobby posts... I figured he would've wisened up over time. But there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for holding that position after what happened to the Texans in the playoffs.

What kind of difference does a fully healthy Clowney make in that game, honestly??

It's undeniably clear how Bridgewater would've helped.

Not at all. Would Bridgewater have been better than Hoyer? Of course, just about every QB on an NFL roster would have been, but that is an incredibly low bar. Clowney was very good this season in what amounts to his rookie year and looks to be a really awesome player going forward, Teddy Bridgewater is just a guy. You can find a Bridgewater quality QB in pretty much any draft class, why trade for that when you can just use a draft pick for it?

He would have not turned the ball over and handed the ball off a bunch possibly leading to a few field goals.....infinitely more scoring than with Hoyer, but still a loss. Why don't we talk about QB's who are actually good instead of it always coming back to Teddy Bridgewater?

Let me get this straight... In your mind because Bridgewater led his team to FGs in his game, he would have only lead the Texans to field goals in our game?

Doesn't matter that he would have Deandre Hopkins, a rushing attack that was moving the ball, a defense that was playing great, and wouldn't have been playing in -20* weather against the Seahawks. Still definitely would've lost huh?
