I should've phrased it better: It didn't affect their performances to the level it apparently does Harden. They were extremely consistent and you didn't have any dropoff year in their prime, what Harden does this season is incredibly rare for a supposed superstar.
You have a history of flat out lying, being proven wrong and then shifting goal posts. Rest of the post is irrelevant
I wish I could give 0 stars instead of 1. This thread is more pathetic than OP tries to make things seem.
When did I lie or shift goal posts? Everyone gets proven wrong a time or two. And I already know exactly where you conveniently snipped that little quote from. It was a discussion about 2 summers ago and people were complaining about Harden's off season dedication then some guy found all the tweets, Facebook and Instagram posts showing he had actually done a ton of work in the offseason. Nice try though.
Hahaha you're hilarious. Discussion 2 summers ago? More lies. Here is the thread for your convenience. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=269942 Just a few months back. I never knew November 2015 is 2 summers ago. Either you're flat out lying thinking you wouldn't be fact checked or you're basketball r****ded. Nice try though.
He's a lazy ass. Guys like Steph and Klay won a title and worked harder to defend their title. Let that sink in.
lol my post says exactly what I thought. I said "this has happened before" as in one of the past Summer's people were complaining about his work ethic and someone provided the proof that he had done a ton of work in that offseason. I wasn't talking about this summer. And I still stand by what I thought then and what I think now. I don't believe for one second that he did absolutely zero offseason work. I don't think he did as much as he has done in previous summers and could have done more. I think his off season ankle injury played a role, but doesn't totally absolve him.
You said he put in tons off work in the offseason. And now you're shifting goalposts to "I don't believe for one second that he did absolutely zero offseason work" You've pretty much done a 180. You're latter statement is dumb because every single basketball player at all levels including YMCA would probably not put in zero off season work. Way to be right doofus
To say JH doesn't work on basketball is simply asinine. People love to focus on failures, people love to magnify or articulate scapegoats out of thin air, but the fact of the matter is this: no ClutchFans poster has any logical foundation of knowledge into JH, his work ethic, or his lack thereof. All we see are the games, and all we can do is deduce from the film. Regardless, the objective facts are as follows: JH is one of the premier basketball talents on this planet, and its highly unlikely--if not impossible--that JH simply woke up like that before the 2012 season. All of the quotes I've seen about JH signify that he's a work horse. His season last year embodied that. He's a student to the game. Is it logical for people to question his devotion after receiving Adidas money and a Kardashian? Sure. Is it plausible that JH hasn't worked *as* hard as he has in years past? Absolutely. But thee fact is, this is JH's 6th year as a pro. IIRC, Barkley said that, generally, you are the player you will be by your 3rd year. Its certainly possible, if not probable, that James simply is the player that he will be--a deadly offensive force, and a decent defensive player with occasional lapses. But to suggest that he hasn't worked *at all* on basketball is rather ignorant.
lol you are just twisting my words. Up until this offseason there was an obvious progression in his game and someone who actually dug up the proof that Harden had done lots of work previous offseasons. That's all my post intended to convey while everyone was speculating that he did nothing THIS particular offseason.
Actually when I said he didn't work as hard this off season (never claimed he did NOTHING all off season, I mean are you dumb enough to believe a professional NBA player does NOTHING all off season?) on improving his game as he has in the past because he had distractions such as his marketing brand, Khloe etc. you insisted he was a gym rat all off season and put in tons of work. Now you've gone back to saying that he didn't perhaps work as hard as previous summers which is exactly the point. Better late than never. Next time: A) Stop lying and/or B) shifting goal posts. It makes you look even more stupid. I'll let you have the last word. I'm off this thread. Cheers
the funny thing is in that thread you are referencing I didn't even respond to you. The guy I was responding to where you pulled my quote from had said this earlier in that thread. claiming that essentially he never works unless forced to like when he was on the national team. I pointed out how wrong that was and that someone in the past had dug up all the proof that he had put in a ton of offseason work in the past. Nowhere did I insist he worked all of THIS off season. What I did insist was that it's unlikely that a guy who has proven to put in the work previously just all of a sudden became a guy with no work ethic. I don't lie. 90% of my posts are just posting stats and reference them to other players or past numbers. I don't make the numbers up, I just look them up. Claim I move the goal posts all you want don't really care. You consistently over exaggerate what people say to make them into the "delusional homers" you claim them to be. When someone points out the statistical fact that a player is shooting X% over the last X amount of games, that's not cherry picking stats. It's a trend over a certain amount of sample size. In that particular case you love to bring up, it was Harden shooting 40% from 3 over, at that time, the last 27 or so games. That's not an insignificant amount of time or attempts. It can mean very little or it could mean a lot but it's not cherry picking. It's not like I ever say well if you take out all the games he shoots terribly then he's the best shooter ever. THAT is cherry picking.
I'm sure he was working on his game early this morning at the strip club, did anyone see if he took anything home with him?
