Maybe as a fan we don't have a right to judge players on what they do on their off-court. But how would a coach feel about this? If the coach wouldn't be happy, then neither should we.

I'm pretty sure he goes every night... After every loss. Not surprising

well of course they would - isn't that the point?

he's young and rich so he can and should live the life he wants; however, as a superstar in this league and the undisputed star of this team, fans have every right to question his decisions if it markedly effects his performance.

the heart of the matter likely has a lot more to do with his big payout this summer than his lifestyle, though. he was doing the exact same things last year when he was setting the world on fire. but now that he is uber wealthy you can tell he has gotten complacent... it's undeniable at this point.

True, but all the Superstars have the same power Harden does. I'm sure Lebron and Durant can do whatever they want with no repercussions. In many ways the stars run this league.

This is legit, it just sucks that it's "our" guy constantly making these types of headlines and leaving much more to be desired on the court. Lebron, Steph, KD, Westbrook, AD... I think James' name deserves to be mentioned with that group of people, but (to my knowledge anyway) this type of thing isn't an issue with any of them.

Coincidentally, there aren't questions about those guys' effort and focus either.

I'm almost certain that he went out after the Lakers game.

So what if Harden went for 40 and had a great game but we still lost, is it ok now to go the strip club then? I bet we would still hear the same b****ing. My point is this isn't something new it was a running joke here last season but no one cared because we won and James was the reason.

What I see is people straight up turning on Harden, really quickly. I'm not writing off Dwight or James. Are they flawed? Of course but their careers aren't over and if we ever win with them there are a lot of so called "long time fans" that'll look really foolish.

Go look it up. They b****ed and complained almost just as bad last year when he was (IMO) the MVP of the league, and while his numbers were lower in the postseason, they were still otherworldly in comparison to a normal NBA player. So the fact is, he has shown that he can be productive, and still go out to clubs and whatnot.

Until we see that change (where he starts declining), we have to operate under the assumption that he can produce and still go out.

Now, where the issue REALLY lies with these folks is their un-approval of his reputation, and how he doesn't morally represent the Rockets in a way they deem acceptable.

If your morals tell you that his behavior is more important than winning, than voice your opinion based on those facts. Be honest and stop trying to combine the two (his play and his morals). But don't try to make a case that his morals & extracurricular activities are hurting the basketball. Maybe they will in the future, but as of now, he's still producing at a very high level.

pretty much this. at this point, if these types of stories dont bother you, then you're either in denial or an apologist. everyone deep down knows what a real leader should be like, Harden just doesnt give off that vibe. i know he's 26, but guess what, regular people and a lot of other athletes dont go to the frigging strip club like its the grocery store. Do you hear about the Lebron, Steph, KD, etc. going to frigging strip clubs 3 times a week?

It shows WEAKNESS. He's an addict. I would never follow someone who wasnt mentally strong enough to overcome that.

So he went out at 2 am. What time he came back? Probably stayed there a couple of hours at least. Let's say came back at 5 and then at 10 has to catch the plane home with the team and only has had at best a 4 hour sleep.

Does this team have any practices or NOT? How can harden participate in practices if he spend almost all night out and is sleepless and probably hangover?
Or are our practices a joke? Even the practices that come off losses?
That's more of concern to me than Harden going to stripclubs.

Btw others may go to stripclubs but they often come home at 2 am they dont' go out that late.

You do know that you can be tired and still go to a strip club right? You're not the one dancing the girls are. It's not like you go to a strip club and run in place for 5 hours.

Harden basically lost us that game with his non-defense and lethargic offense. Dwight must be furious. Dude had a throwback game and Harden just didn't show up.

Getting tired of Harden's antics. He can be a top 3 player in this league but he just doesn't look like he gives a damn this year.

The point is staying out until 4 AM and then complaining about being tired because of minutes is asinine.

Does he do this every night? Do we have a game tomorrow?
