Irony like this whole season just saw what Dwight did with LA after the post

On the other hand Redick isn't a volume scorer

might have to do it more often I guess

    happy for him

It wouldn't be a Tinman thread without a dig at T-Mac in a thread that has nothing to do with T-Mac lol.

Yao was one of the great ambassadors of the game but from a strictly basketball perspective, I wish he was a bigger jerk, which would have taken his game even more to the next level.

You settle every "T-Mac=leader?" debate by posting his number of playoff games and then tell us it's the defining criteria for being a leader, so here you go:

    Yao: 28
    Dwight: 84

This apparently settles it, unless you're admittind that is's a failure as a criteria and that your point in other threads is useless (really wonder how tinman will respond...nah, he'll somehow twist everything).

Dwight might be a better leader than Yao, he's gone further in the playoffs and he's led Orlando to the finals.

He's proven leadership on the court.

??? Dwight led Orlando to the NBA Finals, that's shows veteran leadership.

He is the 2nd best player in Orlando history! you think he's better than Shaq?

Doesn't mean I don't like Yao. He had weaknesses , but so does Dwight.

There's no Hack a Yao, and Dwight's a better defensive player.

both have to deal with ball dominate players on their team who like to jack up 3s.

    A nuanced tinman post. :)
Harden is on a whole different level with the 3pt jacking though, right now 8 3pt attempts per game, 3 more than McGrady in Houston (we need someone to tell Harden to stop it :().

Music is a powerful motivator, and I'm sure Harden would eat that shtick up so I went with Ziggy. If Rage Against the Machine was leading this team we'd probably be undefeated.

I am not going to vote on the poll but I do believe Yao was one of the best leaders the Rockets have had from his work ethic and his belief in his teammates. One of the most telling quotes JVG has ever said about Yao was that he was one of the few players he has ever seen that takes just as much if not more pride in his teammates success as his own.

Dwight may not have the same 'first in last out' gym mentality as Yao did (maybe he does but its certainly not reported as often as it was with Yao), but you can see him out on the court getting people together trying to push their confidence and give it his all.

The one issue I had with Dwight is that leadership isnt necessarily consistent throughout the season as it was with Yao. Dwight turns it up full blast (and probably more so than Yao) come playoff time when the team needs it the most. Right now though he is trying his best to lead by example on the court and is doing what he can to instill the same confidence in his teammates.
