Yep. Regardless of the vote, the Big 12 will need to expand.

If the proposed changes had been in place this year, OU and Oklahoma State would have replayed Bedlam in Norman one week after the original Bedlam in Stillwater. Even worse, if OK State won the game, they would replayed Bedlam the next week in Stillwater again.

Beyond that, two 5-team divisions would create a scheduling nightmare.

It's frankly a solution that creates more problems than it solves.

That's without even considering the dire need for a Big 12 TV network.

you read that completely wrong. he is trying to discredit lopez and his story because lopez has no understanding/knowledge about the UH program so to potificate on it is ludicrous. basically how can lopez have a UH take when he never ever ever covers UH.

Every year the Big 12 loses more and more ground to the PAC-12, ACC, and SEC. Crap leadership and vision.

Houston finishes 8th in AP and Coaches' Poll, likely in the top fifteen to start next season. First game against Oklahoma will be amazing.

    Love it!

This ranking gives us legitimate playoff hopes. We probably still need to go undefeated, but hey, there has been an awakening in the force.

    Deregulation passes.

Big 12 not expanding this Summer.

    It's all on OU now.

Until they start packing their bags, the conference will maintain the status quo.

The B1G and SEC are watching intently for signs of discord.

    You are right about that.

The Big XII is a poorly run conference and has gone from one of the strongest P5 conferences to one of, if not the weakest. They have lost key members and have done very little other than let UT run them into the ground.

They have learned nothing from the SWC demise.

Ayers had a 423 passer rating this year. Hello!

    Nice!

Were the Coogs ranked pre-games the year after Keenum?

Well deserved ranking and accolades. The first game of the season is going to make or break their season chances.

What makes him so special? And why is everybody making such a big deal about him. I know he's a 5 star recruit but so what? Someone explain how tremendous this is for the UH football team.

He's one of the best recruits in the country and a top 5 player at his position in the nation. He's a strong defensive tackle that can shut down the run game and overpower O linemen to get to the QB.

It also represents a step forward in UH recruiting showing that they are a program worthy of consideration by top recruits.

If I recall correctly, he is the first instance of a 5-star recruit committing to a G5 school ever since recruiting stars became a thing. It's pretty much unheard of for a school like us to get talent like his (it's more common for G5 schools to get 5-star transfers who burned out at a P5 school, sorta like Cincy with Gunner Kiel or us with Kyle Allen this year).
