He should go wherever his contract moves him to.

As long as he is a Rocket, we should do everything we can for him, get him healthy.

If he goes to another team, he is their problem.

Agreed 100%. I am trying to be optimistic but the more he doesn't come back the more worrying. And I can't believe most here seem to be completely unworried about it like a back surgery is nothing that serious.

I can understand DMO pushing himself. It is his contract year afterall.

If you think that DMO playing few minutes and games will get paid a good contract you are deluded. He hasn't proved he deserves it at this point. He will only get paid if he is able to come back and play a lot of games and at the least be around as productive as last year.
It may not be worrying for you but for sure it is worrying for him, the more he stays out the more unlikely he is to get good money.

Letting Parsons go was the best thing for the Rockets. Talk about severely over valued. The guy was a star, only in his own mind.

Exactly all of this ^^^^ dobro. I've noticed around here some fans wants to be that guy or girl that got it right. They tend to put so much expectation on these players and their abilities. They completely ignore the injuries, the physicality they will go up against on a nightly basis and the set backs that are plausible when playing this game. They ignored the entire process, from when he came back playing a few minutes, to decent minutes back to 6 minutes a game. Ding Ding Red flag folks and now he's back on the shelf, having to rehab that same injury.

(Oh hell yeah, that's clearly their agenda here. We have plenty of evidence showing their motives.....bwhahahahaha. but then again you're right....never that..)

To this day, I can't understand how Feigan got the leverage to pull that off. Parsons getting RFA didn't help Howard at all. And Feigan didn't help Howard at all with the contract. Howard was getting max wherever he went. He probably would've been smart to go no agent and save on the commission. I'm not aware of any big endorsements Feigan delivered to Dwight. Such a head scratcher.

It's maddening, I know. But I'd still rather have Trevor Ariza on his deal going forward than Chandler Parsons on his current deal (or the deal he inevitably would've gotten this past summer as an unrestricted free agent).

WE could have had both. Parson was making less than a million a year.

And we do, effectively, given Parsons' injuries in particular.

Exactly. Parsons if healthy probably would have been the better player but he's been a shell of his former self since he went to Dallas. We do still miss what Parsons brought to the Rockets, but we'd still be missing that even if he stayed because he doesn't exactly provide that anymore.

Yes we do and who wants that contract? There are several reason why I like Ariza for this team over Parsons.

Plays better D, especially in a time that this team needs it.
    On a much better contract.
Cares more about basketball, doesn't get caught up in all the garbage.
Proven winner and knows his role.
I could go on and on.

What is everyone b****ing about? Why is this even debatable?

Do you like Harden? Because some points you mentioned that you hate are some of Harden's "best" qualities.

Parsons would have been better offensively but on defense Ariza is much better. Parsons stopped playing elite defense after his rookie year.

DD Ariza all around game is better than Parson so IMO he's not the better player.

    All-around better?

Are you just blind or something? Don't get me wrong I don't think losing Parsons isn't too big of a deal, but Parsons is a significantly better offensive player and creator. His ability to playmake at the 3-spot is sorely missed. His defense disappeared after his rookie season, I agree with this.

As a player, Parsons is definitely better than Ariza. As for who I'd rather have, definitely Ariza. I always have had confidence in him; in big games, he's a straight up baller.

The only things that Parsons have on Ariza is like you said he could create for himself and others. They almost average the same amount of points and rebounds. Their shooting percentage is about the same. But defensively Ariza is much better that's why I said what I said.

Parsons doesn't have nearly the offensive ability that Harden has. Parsons will never be a star, Harden of course is. Parsons is not close to being worth the contract he's on. Holes or not, James is worth every penny.

Do I think Harden needs to seemingly get his mind right? Yes. Am I happy with his effort all the time? No. Do I think James will right the ship in the future? Yes. Do I like Harden for the Rockets? Absolutely.

Parsons use to be better than Ariza when healthy. Not anymore though.

    Really?

    Ariza: http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2426/trevor-ariza

    PPG 11.4 FG 39% 3pt .347 APG 1.8 Minutes per game 34.1

    Parsons: http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/6466/chandler-parsons

    PPG 9.7 FG 46% 3pt .311 APG 2.5 Minutes per game 25.5

Outside of 3pt shooting - this year, Parsons is better - and their career 3pt shooting is Trever .348% and Parsons is .369%

Even with injuries Parsons is a better player.

It is nice how a DMo thread can into an Ariza thread, Parsons thread or any other player's thread.

It always has to be this player vs another player.

There is really nothing more to say about player X.

This season is boring as hell
