    There weren’t many veterans on that team. Vernon Maxwell was the guy who taught me a whole bunch of things. Other vets didn’t want to teach me anything because they were still trying to maximize what they could do on the court. I promised myself from that experience that I would never be that guy.

    So the organization has hired Max as a college scout? What outstanding news! I love how Morey and Les have welcomed former players the last few years to have a role with the Rockets, as well as persuading Hakeem to let bygones be bygones, working for the team part-time helping to develop our bigs, and whoever else can benefit from his genius. Something overdue, in my opinion. Thanks for the news, tinman. :)-

    I remember the one episode of the Vernon Maxwell show, or whatever it was called. Kinda like how Dwight has a show on Root. It was supposed to be a behind the scenes look of the Rockets. It was just ridiculous. It was cancelled immediately.

    Never had the pleasure of watching Vernon play. But man do I love his youtube clips. Glad he is on board, he reminds me of PBev on PCP.

    Welcome home, Mad Max!

    Now we just need him going to war on the practice court.

    Would love to see how Harden responds to Mad Max on BOTH ends of the court.

    Now there's a CF poll worth seeing:

    POLL: How would Harden react to Maxwell on the practice court?
    1. Harden takes offense to Max's trash talk, but doesn't say a word and leaves practice early.
    2. Harden decides he can't bail, but still trembles and whispers in Max's ear, "please, it's just basketball..." (and purposely leaves out the 'weirdo' part)
    3. Harden mans up, takes it to Maxwell, and shows the team he's not 'Soften'.
    4. Harden gets in Max's face, then proceeds to literally get his ass kicked... teammates just stand around and watch and say, "there goes iso harden"
    5. The next day, Harden sees Max walk onto the practice court again. Harden faints. ​
