I'm not sure how much this matters but I watched A New Hope last night and Obi-Wan definitely says "I used to be a Jedi" or something along those lines. Technically in his mind the Jedi are extinct since there is no council/governing body anymore since him and Yoda are on sabbaticals and Luke will need to be the one to resurrect/rebuild the Jedi ways. It could make sense for him to have found someone while on Tatooine who maybe passed away causing him to be even more of a hermit. Obi-Wan was not rebellious at all from what I remember. He was always uncomfortable when someone didn't follow the rules. His master was the one that got him to loosen his Jedi mindset a little bit but he was still Jedi all the way till the end of Revenge of the Sith and even obeyed Yoda's orders to go after Anakin himself rather than face the Emperor. In my mind, he embodies the Jedi about as well as any human Jedi we have seen through the series which is why I think/hope Rey is his granddaughter but I am still not sure how or if they can explain this while still being able to tie in what we know about Obi-Wan from a New Hope based on Luke and his Uncle's comments calling him a "hermit" which would imply that he did not have any family as far as they knew. It was only 18-20 years from the time Luke was given to his adoptive family to the time he finds out Ben's real identity. Maybe the mother left Tatooine with his daughter since Obi-Wan would not disobey Yoda's command to watch over Luke? Anyways, fun to think about but lots of assumptions from the prequels in my opinions above. Have we been told that the prequels do not count as story line anymore? If so, that is kind of a shame because there was a decent amount of info in the Revenge of the Sith that I enjoyed even if it was forced to tie the 2 trilogies together.
To expand on this a little more Obi Wan and Luke could have fathered a child without actually violating any Jedi code. Why is that? Well the Jedi weren't celibate. They were just forbidden from having romantic attachments. George Lucas himself clarified this all the way back in 2002.... Going to see it Saturday for my 2nd time after eating at a place called Country Bumpkin's. Here's to hoping it doesn't give me the runs! Spoiler
Damn that burger looks good.... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hN74bOubUug?list=RD-GSuO57Ja7g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I saw it by myself over Christmas break. Finally taking my 4-year olds to see it this weekend. They are PUMPED. The 200 questions they will no doubt ask and 20 ill-timed potty breaks we will no doubt take won't bother me as much since I've already seen it...
4? that is cool. My son is only 2 and rightfully obsessed with Star Wars due to various reasons (cartoons, figurines, etc.) but hasn't seen any of the movies. Have they seen the originals? If so, what age were they when they saw them and how did they react. I was planning to let my son watch the original Star Wars when he is 6 or 7 since I am afraid it will consume him if he sees it any sooner.

I bought a DVD set with IV, V, and VI and we watch them in the car. They love all 3 of them. They know all the character names and like C-3PO the best. They run around the house breathing like Darth Vader. You say that like it's a bad thing!
PRAISE BE UPON WHICHEVER KIND SOUL FINALLY FIXED THE THREAD TITLE! Every time I saw "Epiode" I died a little inside.
Star Wars almost seems to tell you the entire plot on the first scroll, and then it's just a matter of how it all happens. Which is kind of weird when you think about it, but has worked for them.
Alright here's my review: Spoiler It was just OK. I won't be going again. I got their specialty, the Bumpkin Burger. Basically just a regular fully loaded burger with brisket on it. The brisket was actually really good, but everything else was very OK. Nearly $9 for that burger plus fries (which were great, but let's be honest you don't go to a burger place for the fries). Not worth it IMO. The service was great. The husband and wife owners are your cook and cashier/waitress and they really care and want to make your experience pleasant. But the food just wasnt where I was hoping it'd be. If you're out that way, go more towards Cypress and eat at The Shack. Much better burgers. Worse service and TERRIBLE parking (sometimes there are no spots and you just have to go elsewhere cuz there is nowhere to park) but better burgers. If I went there again I'd get one of the BBQ platters since the brisket was so good. They also had a chicken fried steak sandwich which caught my interest. Not sure if it'd be great or terrible, but I figure it could only be one of those two. 3/5 stars.
