you are so dumb. please stop posting. curry was better than harden last year too. the gap happened post AS break. curry did an unreal 24/4/7 in 31.7 mpg on a ridiculous 67% ts. harden did 26/6/7 on 59% ts in 37 mpg (still fantastic), but not better than curry. and curry/warriors won 67 games in a ridiculously dominant fashion, 10+ games over any other team in the west.

if it was flipped and harden led us to 67 wins in such a dominant fashion with comparable numbers in lesser mins, and greater efficiency, and DIDN'T win MVP, it'd be considered one of the greatest crimes of all time. especially after the warriors went on to win it all.

harden was great last year. but you are a moron if you think curry won the award cuz of some random outside factors like his daughter being cute, or being light skinned. yea, cuz mvp's in the nba generally go to light skinned players LOL.

He deserved that award last year he played phenomenal.

This is this year and he's playing AWFUL his game has completely changed. It's alarming and I'm officially concerned this is who Harden might become on a permanent basis. IDK.

With James Harden as their first recipient? While the media MVP Curry is taking the league by storm? Shows which award meant more.

You're talking about the NBA MVP. Something that's been around for 50+ years. Something that players themselves break down in tears for and appreciate how far they've come. that's not happening. I don't anticipate players choice awards being around for very long. It's just an excuse for some of the players to come together and party

What does this season have to do with last? James had a legitimate argument for MVP last year. Not this year.

Lol. It's because those are great parties. Celebs love being in the spotlight. But any artist would rather win a Grammy or a Oscar compared to the mtv awards. This is not debatable. You think leo dicrappio would rather win a Oscar or any of those second rate awards? Cmon now.

"I'm still the Champion and no won't can take that way from me"

    I AGREE WITH YOU!

Right now Players MVP is the People's Choice Award of MVP awards. Maybe in a couple years it can turn into the Golden Globes of MVP awards.

But one thing remains the same: Players are still gonna want it and they are all going to show up to the event.

Can you imagine if Harden won the MVP last year and played the way he has this year? The media would look like fools. At least with Curry, they look like geniuses.

“I want to thank God, thank my mom, my family and friends for all the support, the continuous support,” Harden said. “I want to thank BET for this beautiful event. To the NBA Players Association, Michele Roberts for giving players a voice to speak their minds, and then just the players, the peers, I appreciate this vote. It means a lot and I’m really thankful for it. The players know who the really MVP was and that means a lot.”

He didn't earn ****. That is a players popularity contest.

Curry was the MVP and Harden is not in his class.

"I know I was the MVP," Harden said. "That's 100 percent given all the things that happened last season.

"There's so many factors. I led the league in total points scored, minutes played. Like I said, I'm not taking anything away from Steph, but I felt I deserved the Most Valuable Player. That stays with me."
