    What a false paradigm...

How about this. I'll rather have leaders who lead by example and work ethic.

I saw Harden bring the ball up, dribble, dribble, TURNOVER like 4 times tonight.

See this is the thing though...everyone just dribbles. When Harden passes it off to someone they then just dribble around.

How many times do we see Ariza try to play playmaker? Everyone gets the ball and does their own thing.

I suppose you can give many examples of 7 and 8 seed teams winning nba championships then?

This is BASKETBALL. The contenders are known and they first prove it during the RS. The playoffs if you don't know are played in series of games.
It's not american football or football. You can't have a lucky goal in the 90+ min and win the championship.

how do you judge work ethic ? just in games or in training where we don't see what the players do

Some of the best leaders are on poor teams but we don't hear about them because those teams don't get wins

I think championships...you just think playoffs. I remember standing in the crowd when Clutch city was honored for being a selfless NBA team. I was just a kid. Now as a grown man...I want to see them win a title once more.

We don't make it nearly every year. In the 20 years since the B2B titles, the Rockets have made it to the postseason 12 times and wound up in the lottery 8 times. If we shorten that period to the last 10 years, it's 6 trips to the playoffs, 4 to the lottery. So basically the Rockets have made it to the postseason 60% of the time in each of the last 2 decades. Not a bad statistic, but certainly not "every year" as you say.

Dwight is not Hakeem on the block but he is still very effective! When Dwight misses 2 or 3 consecutive buckets or turns the ball over a couple times everyone (including fans) start to panic.

When Dwight misses those consecutive buckets or gets a TO all his touches dry up! They don't trust him.

When you don't COMPETE, that's a SERIOUS problem. And, if you do it once, it get's easier to lay down the next time.

    JBB:

Reaction to the stage & spotlight?

You gotta give them a ton of credit. Stage & spotlight, they've been there before and performed. Give the Cavs a ton of credit. They had a great gameplan and executed it. They smothered us defensively. We got opportunities. We didn't make good, open shots. If you make some, it changes the way they have to defend you. 6-25 from 3 isn't good enough. Give them a ton of credit.

    Defense?

Played well in parts. 17 offensive rebounds, you can't overcome that. We gotta be better there and more committed there. Everyone has to be on the glass. You know who you're going against coming in. We allowed them to play to their strengths. 17 offensive rebounds and 19 turnovers, that's hard to overcome.

    Intensity off and on still?

Most part, we have been. In a game like this, you'll scrap. It'll be gritty, not easy. You gotta keep bringing it. We didn't lay down. We brought it. We got dejected because shots didn't go. Turning it over, offensive rebounds, not making shots, that sucks the life out of teams. Our turnovers, most of them weren't forced. They were on us. O rebounds, you have a choice whether or not you want to hit your man. It's not things we can't figure out.

They showed James a ton of bodies. They have good one on one defenders. They also brought extra people. We got open shots and didn't make them. The gameplan changes if we make shots.

Midway point & where you are?

Better than where we started. Headed in the right direction. Tonight's results aside, we're getting better. We'll continue to get better. We'll continue to fight. All the opportunities and reasons to stop competing, we never have.
