What happened to the good Capela who dunked over people and swatted shots?

He is tired. He's played a lot of minutes this year. Les said it himself a couple weeks ago.

Combination of being tired and overthinking.

Players have regressed and keep regressing under Bickerstaff. The biggest failure this year is failing to get a coach that reaches the players.

Uh, Howard, Bev, Brewer and Lawson have all played better. JBB moved Capela to starting lineup, and he did great for awhile, and it's certainly not a failed experiment. TJ is doing just fine relative to any other part of the year. Ariza is shooting better. Not to say Howard getting healthier and Brewer/Ariza correcting to the mean is on JBB, but you also cannot use them wrt bashing JBB.

Apparently the advanced stats analysts expected Capella to beast tonight vs Tristan Thompson. http://www1.vantagesports.com/Games/game_preview/VpibFB8AAG5YNReY/Preview

He has turned into an Asik of sorts with his horrid hands around the basket as of late.

I think the guy is just young, just hasn't clicked for him yet and he isn't sure what kind of player he is.

He's playing further away from basket now. Put him back as back up center and those things return.

No, seriously, what the **** happened with this guy? He's Omer Asik bad, if not worse.

It's called being a rookie , he is so inexperienced . He is inconsistent , every game he does good things , every game he does bad . As more and more film comes out in him players learn how to take away what's easy . He needs to adjust . He also needs to get back confidence and just try to slam everything . Easier said than done , he will come around

i said it too a while ago, Capela has regressed. He was an elite shot blocker like Rudy Gobert. Now he's passive and soft. Needs another off season of heavy lifting and Hakeem school.

He has become too finesse for my liking. Its like he is trying weird layups without getting off the floor. There are many times I expected him to dunk the ball, but he isnt doing it for some reason.

It's a combination of mental and fatigue. I'm sure being targeted for a hack-a-Capela and his general bad free throw shooting has crept into his mind to the point where he's thinking about having to go to the line every time he goes for a basket.

Yes Capela has played professionally overseas and spent last in the D-League, but the NBA grind is a different beast. It looks like he has tired legs as he isn't as springy.

It's way too early too set anything in stone with Capela, I think he still looks promising.
